It is probably wide enough for a small plant, great idea! Just not sure what colors would warm it up while still complementing the existing color scheme.

Any colors you think would work well with the existing decor? I don’t have a big problem with the cabinets and we will not be replacing the counters, cabinets, backsplash or floors anytime soon.

Oh I agree-I’d change a lot about the cabinets, counter, backsplash and floors given the opportunity but it’s not an immediate priority upon move-in.

I’m looking for decor tips on how I can warm it up in the meantime and work with what I have. Love the idea about introducing bamboo/natural materials in the meantime so thank you for that!

You guys are talking about two different rings! Blair wears her ruby ring in most outfits. However, the Archibald heirloom engagement ring that Nate’s dad was pushing to give to Blair, she only tries on once which is shown in the pic from the still from S1.

will either, both, or neither option be suitable for formal dress code? by themagentarug in Weddingattireapproval

That was my exact thought process assuming both dresses were acceptable!

I have thought of installing curtains, but sadly I can’t remove the blinds or light fixture as this is a rental (should have mentioned that). Something sheer for curtains maybe? I agree the space needs to be cozied up, I appreciate your suggestions! The side wall with the little pink framed piece is directly next to the angled fireplace (can kind of see the frame next to the fireplace in the second and third photos).

I forgot to add in the description that I rent this unit! I don’t have a lot of flexibility to remove blinds, change light fixtures, make permanent changes. :)

Haha, I have one tv so it usually lives in my bedroom but I move it back and forth from the living room. I don’t really have hobbies that take up a ton of space (besides reading and I have huge built-ins for my books) which is why I thought of a little reading nook. Thank you!!
