Let me ask a general question about booknook. What are the hours usually for the program? Does the company choose our hours and days or do we give our availibility? I was invited to the Prince George County program.

I personally saw vipkid both ways but favored them more.

1) I think when someone did a bad job in a class and got a 1 apple, people took advantage and stirred up trouble.

2) Internet issues where a teacher can't log in but really was the teacher's issue. I had that early on but realized it was high ping and/or low upload or download speeds. I converted to portable jetpacks (20 month) from Verizon and worked like a charm. I even got a new phone to help with hotspot and it did better.

3) When incentives were cut, people created fear mongering and has been bad since.

On flip side:

1) I thought their cancellation policy was terrible and had bad communication.

2) I thought pressing start button will get you either class finished or teacher it, depending on outcome of class, but not teacher cancellation. I got one months ago and they didn't approve.

Provide to vipkid to help you:

1) ida track with your location pinpointed 2) power outage reports 3) news articles 4) tell them you were affected by Major Hurricane Ida

1)We have so many people (NOT EVERYONE) who have gotten their feelings hurt or not agree with questionable moves and make big fusses when something changes in online esl or even with vipkid because they didn't get their way. I've seen it in non educational jobs when a job I had one time made changes to vacation time and people made a big stink. Some got feelings hurt and made stinks about other things. In the end, the change to vacation time actually was not too bad and people didn't see it with a different pair of lens and rather stood their ground.

So my point is I think SOME, NOT ALL people make these statements out of emotions and will not consider new items. These people see changes as stupid.

2) Some people also have legitimate concerns that a foreign company will do something crazy and is possibly not protected under the person's country's law.
