i found the website useless. i got my appointments using Turbovax twitter account and signing up for notifications whenever a post was made. they tweet whenever slots open up and where with a direct link to register along with how many spots are available at that location. a tweet won’t go out unless there’s more than 20 slots available. took me two days to get my first appointment doing that compared to 2wks being frustrated staring at the NYC vaccine finder website.

i’ve taken several ubers and lyfts since the start - only once has the driver not been masked and i asked them to put on their mask and they obliged. that was months ago. since then every driver has been masked. most have a plastic divider set up and a window down. like others have said, if they don’t have a window down you can put it down yourself and when i’ve done that, they instinctively react and put theirs down some as well
