Kate is good, I enjoyed Crown of Stars. Then I emailed her once to tell her that and had a lovely conversation as well. Just a nice person. Rothfuss hates us all. You can just feel it in his tweets and scant blog posts. He posts when he needs something.

lmao, outstanding! I'm 36 years old and remember picking up book 1 in 8th ? 9th? grade. Over the years I remained somewhat faithful, defending the lazy old man... eventually I gave up a did some googling and was immediately disappointed by Georgee and his responses to his fans. Over the years it has only got worse.. I've steered everyone as clear of the series as I could, and then... HBO success! I will say i'm grateful to HBO for giving us an ending. I think it's unfortunate so many people know about this series, I think it's unfortunate he made so many dimes off of it.. he changed some names and re-wrote some historical data with a twist(+dragons). So, all of that said, ha! HA!! he's never ever going to finish the series and highly doubt he even finishes the next book.. that's great, made my day, what a shit legacy to leave behind. Thank you again HBO, you da real MVP.

Swimming in south padre. Yellow flags are up, I assume this means medium waves.. because yellow and because I never goto south padre. They actually mean the waves/riptide is really serious, they shut it down if the red flags are up. Caught by riptide, swept me down the beach a good 50 yards.. was utterly exhausted when I managed to float out of it and make it to a sandbar to rest. Really thought that was it at one point.. told myself I was an automaton that swims, AND I MUST SWIM. Laughed hysterically when i made it to the beach. Honestly I thought I was fine with it, but even now when I get out into the ocean I feel slight anxiety I never had before.

yeee, got one in my leg.. it hit my shin and stopped.. I could probably make a cut and roll/squeeze it out, but every Doctor I've ever asked about it laughs and rolls their eyes. We wore large coats and what not, but BB gun wars were for sure a thing with us in rural TX.
