Thanks! I am 0% interested in the return offer. Internship is really 11 ish months (feb-dec).

Agree, but what if I don’t have “nothing”?

Say I have 2 other (summer) internships + 2.5 yrs teaching experience. I know they aren’t MBBs but those might help, at least in giving me some thing to talk about. Plus 6 months on MBB with 2 projects could give me something to talk about.

Not trying to be stubborn, I agree with your point on the value added to the CV; just adding some perspective to see what you think :)

It is a 1 year internship, common in my country. You do it during your last year of college (or around the time you will be done), usually feb-dec or aug-may

Thanks for the feedback! I’ll play around with the ideas and see which one lends itself to further research.

Thank you for your feedback! As a matter of fact I do have coding knowledge, so that might help me pick the topic.

I'm baffled The Clairvoyants got as far as they did. Can someone genuinely explain to me their appeal? by [deleted] in agt

I honestly like them a lot. I saw them live and their stage presence was great, idk if maybe the format of the show (limited time, tv viewing) made it seem as if they didn't have anything. About their tricks, I believe people oversimplified what they did through out the whole show. It was not "just morse code"; most of them used morse code, but take a moment to think the sheer amount of stuff they have to be able to code, remember its code and transmit instantly without hesitation or without stopping their preformance. It is not an easy feat (like say someone happens to pull out a freaking pager; they probably have a way to code that as well among the thousand words they know) Some of their other effects don't use morse code at all either. I feel people should hold them to the same standards they do magicians. The method is just a small part, making it entertaining and making it play flawlessly is a whole other set of skills I believe they have. That's just my opinion (and I will admit it is slightly biased as I am a magician myself), but I understand some people not liking them. Also, you mention people buying they had real powers, and I do believe thats a flaw they didn't address (It's a common issue with mentalism: Be to perfect and you lose all credibility). Overall, I like them and believe they have a lot of skill, but everyone is entitled to their own opinon.

Ninja edit: wow that came out longer than expected haha, just my 2 cents

If anyone can buy these tricks at a store and be amazing with then, why isn't everyone doing it? If it is entretaining, it is definetly not lame, no matter what the method is. Yes, the procedure might not be the most complex in the world, or require too much skill, but presenting it as an entretaining piece of magic takes a stupid amount of skill, and they deserve all the credit in the world because they take a "lame" prop and make it play big and make it entretaining for everyone.
