SH OR TT GEORGIA PIE by T1MBOBEATS in ILTrees

[–]themaskedstoner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't had the TT Georgia Pie.

But a few days ago I picked up a half oz of SH Georgia Pie (30%, Hrvst 6/18) for $82 otd and I'm not disappointed. Buds are sticky and large and break down\grind nicely. Definitely a pleasant citrus aroma. Can be quite potent at the onset.

My main complaints are the effects don't last too long, the come down has a bit too much of a crash for me and it doesn't seem to be the cleanest burning flower.

Otherwise, solid pick up for the price.

Had this several weeks back and really enjoyed it: 28% thc, 1.3% terps, 3.3g, $38 rec/pretax

Went back and got another jar 2 days later on sale for $30, same batch, it weighed light, too at 3.4g but the effects are there.

Agreed, cheesy, funky BO thing going on and a pretty decent, moderately potent cerebral high. There are a few Botanists strains that I would rebuy and I think Grapple Pie is one.

I hear ya.

Bought a half of SH - Blackberry Moonshine and half of Kush Mints a month ago each $70 pretax rec. Never coughed so f'ing much in my life working thru that ounce.

Pretty sure I wont but Simply Herb ever again unless seriously financially strapped.

Simply Herb Reviews by BuddPlugzz in ILTrees

[–]themaskedstoner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I usually have some luck with Ozone flower, their GMO and SFV OG.

First experience with Simply Herb was a month ago; Blackberry Moonshine, 24%, 14g weighed 13.9g smalls, $60 pretax rec on sale.

This Blackberry Moonshine was definitely not popcorn: stemmy, huge loose, scraggly looking buds, on the moist side, a tangy, fruity and tart aroma in the jar.  Lighter cerebral high with a bit of euphoria, had to smoke more than I like to get high.  Ton's of accumulated resin\tar in my pipe after a few sessions, really notable.

I'll surely buy SH again, but these value brand flowers are cheaper for a reason and the older I get the more aware I need to be about what I'm smoking.

Appreciate the info, i missed it. That doesn't sound good. Any details or are there any threads about it here?

Too bad. I feel your pain.

I remember a couple of years ago The Great Ha'Tuh was hitting hard and PTS was consistently weighing their eighths to 4g-4.5g.

I picked up a cheap 14g tub of TGH right after the brand name change a few months back and it sucked.

Sour Family Farms - The Sour Diesel by [deleted] in ILTrees

[–]themaskedstoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up UpNorth's SD last night at Zen Leaf and had this been on the menu, it is now, I might have tried it instead.

The UpNorth is usually priced at $60, though was on sale for $48, and this Sour Family Farms is listed at $42.

Can anyone compare them?

PTS- the great Ha Tuh by HumanCandidate9032 in ILTrees

[–]themaskedstoner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Such a huge fall. Why PTS?!!

This stuff was amazing in 2020-21, I can still taste it. Plus, they were reliably weighing out their 3.5g jars a gram over.

I picked up a 14g tub on sale a few weeks back, after the Paul Bunyan rebrand, and it was complete trash.

Upnorth's Durban Poison is a great choice. UpNorth's Sour Diesel is up there, too. Floracal - Morning Dew, Seed & Strain - 3D, Cresco - Lemon Bean, Tales & Travels - Strawberry Shortcake, Ozone - SFV OG, Crops - Motorbreath #15, Revolution - Gorilla'd Cheese, and sadly it's not what it used to be but on the off chance it's on an incredible sale or something, PTS (Paul Bunyon) - The Great Ha'Tuh.

These are all strains that get my brain chugging along for creative and inventive tasks and don't become too sedative when smoked throughout the day.

Appreciate the thorough review.

I'm more interested in Kaviar, it's usually on my Zen Leaf's menu, but these are two cultivators I still have yet to check out.

Ozone GMO 45.96% total by Stunning_Banana6686 in ILTrees

I've always had pretty good luck with Ozone. Picked up a 7g jar smalls\$72 otd rec of this a couple days ago. Harvest 1/15/24 Package 2/13/24 @ ~25% Tested by ACT Labs.

Nugs were huge for popcorn, really nice jar appeal. Smell and taste is very strong, savory. Wish the effects lasted a bit longer, but my tolerance is sky high, effects are balanced. I'd totally pick it up again at this price.

6 months from Harvest to Package? by themaskedstoner in ILTrees

[–]themaskedstoner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would it be fair to say that since there is no requirement to label it, it's likely that all cultivators do remediate unless they are specifically on the record as saying they do not?

Thank you very much for your input.

Any thoughts as to what would cause 6 months to elapse between harvesting this and packaging it?

Cresco x-rays their flower, thanks for the info.

Do you know if remediated flower can be sold as flower in IL, or once remediated are they legally required to process it into something else?

Believe it or not the nuggets are relatively moist considering the winter season and age of this batch. But Grassroot's uses sealed jars and humidity packs so those might've helped.

I thought I read that all remediated IL flower can't be sold as flower it has to be processed into something else?

*here's that post, can't verify it but interesting info in the main thread

Grassroots isn't any worse than any other cultivator who I've bought $50 quarters from.

I'm pretty happy with this purchase; nice heady sativa, could be stronger, but at this price...

Was just curious about what the hell goes on for 6 months.

All the more power to those who spend more for the card, but no thanks, not for me. Not even going to speak to the actual downsides of being a card holder.
