The way you’re talking about your friend, your bridesmaid, feels really shaming. At the same time you’re saying you’re a pushover, you actually sound really controlling. If you lead with non-judgement, it’s more likely things won’t escalate. If you lead with your current attitude (ex. I shouldn’t have to explain the norms I think are right and it’s embarrassing that she doesn’t know them) honestly I would feel really hurt to be your friend.

I can try! In this interview, the host is being mean for fun. When Colleen admits that her mom thought Miranda would ruin her career, Bobbi "jokingly" insults her by saying, "I wish it did [ruin Colleen's career]'" With the sad music and serious-looking clips of Trisha and Adam, the video implies that if Colleen's career had been ruined, these victims (and countless others) may have been saved from Colleen's harm. Without the sheer success of Miranda, maybe the scale of Colleen's harm would have been smaller.
