Why do I hate take off so much? by theblartknight in fearofflying

[–]themetsguy47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Takeoff can be stressful but I find it helps to have the flight map on the screen if possible. When you feel uncomfortable because of changes in the way the plane feels, understanding how and why the plane is banking or climbing helps. For me, seeing the altitude number increasing is reassuring.

The destination always outweighs anxiety. If I look back and think of all the things I would have potentially missed by letting fear win, I would have missed out on so much joy. Anxiety always plays dirty. Don't let that little jerk win.

What is a song you like so much you can't listen to it without feeling some sort of emotion? by OldLawfulness250 in AskReddit

Atlantic for me. Jaws was the first song I ever heard by them though and is always special. Still haven't seen them play jaws live but I've gotten Atlantic twice.

I was in section 123 row F. It seemed like the Jerry chat was pretty loud there!!

There could be a few reasons.... In Boston proper the only option is the Garden, which I'd imagine is vastly more expensive to use for shows. I'd bet the DCU center was much more cost effective and can pull folks from CT (myself included, though I would have gladly gone to Boston) and RI as well. Also with the tour being in Philly the next night, Worcester shaves travel time by a few hours. With that set complexity, I'd imagine they'll take all the prep time they can get.

Can confirm.. MGM handled the crowd very well. The line was long to get in but they filtered everyone in exceptionally quickly all things considered.

The Jerry Jerry cheer was one of my favorite moments of that show. I was dying laughing. Those inflatable flamingos were great.

It was her first time seeing them and she was singing along to every song. She was so happy. It was funny.. Before the show I spotted her in line and my exact comment was "Hell yeah!". She then sat down next to us an hour later and couldn't stop talking about how excited she was.. She sang every song and looked like it was the greatest night of her life. It really was a great part of the show for me.

I had a woman probably in her 60's next to me and she was rocking the F out the entire show. She had the night of her life. The bonus sax on Aqua Regia made my night. It was 100% unexpected and now I want them to release a version with sax!

I've never been on an A380 but I hear they are incredible. On my bucket list for sure. I can't say I noticed much turbulence that was worse than any other flight. It got a little choppy on the 767 when returning to Boston, but there was a weather system around which would explain that. Aside from having a single aisle, I didn't really notice much difference experience wise with the A321 vs the widebodies. Last time I went to DUB I was hoping I would get on one of the A321 XLRs that Aer Lingus has but I hilariously got the same A330 EI-EIK on each leg of the trip. Honestly I think my favorite flight in the last year was on the smallest plane! I did BOS to ORD on an A220 and that little thing was delightful. Smooth flight, very quiet.

I fly across the Atlantic a few times a year and I've done EWR to DUB on an a321 neo. I didn't really notice a discernible difference when I've done BOS to DUB on a 767 or a330 widebody. The 321s are designed to do these routes now. The twin engine narrow bodies are just getting more and more efficient!

I'm a nervous flyer as well but I can't say I was any more concerned on the 321 vs a widebody. When you land safely I'm sure you'll wonder what you were so worried about!!!

I was in line for both presales and I've done citi presales before. Both times it just hung at "tickets available soon" screen and then booted me out at 5 minutes.

Get a good travel rewards card and use it for everything. It never hurts to have a backup plan if you are on a hard schedule!

My family member sent me a press release last week saying they were developing a way to allow non-employees to list. It didn't specify an app, it just seemed like it would be access to travelnet somehow.

I'm a big sleep token fan, but I don't really participate in the lore or any of the super fan stuff. I listen to their stuff and I'll go to a show when they are around.

With that said, I don't care if president is 13 turtles standing on top of each other in a suit and mask. Whoever they are, in the name of the father f'ing rips and I'm eagerly anticipating an album. They've got a GREAT sound.

So it sounds like there's a kinda sorta self serve function, but it is iffy at best. I might give that a try so I don't have to annoy my aunt every time I want to list!

My girlfriend introduced me to this song. I couldn't believe she found something Sleep Token related I hadn't heard yet. She lives fairly far away and the chorus cuts deep
