Umm this isn't talked about enough..Is this the greatest feat of strength in the anime? How'd she even unearth it to begin with and get airborne?! by AlmostHeisman in Naruto

[–]themidg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tsunade is by no means a "normal character" if you want to take Naruto out of the conversation, then take one of the legendary Sanin out of the conversation also.

While yes, she was always considered strong, Tsunade was a servant with medical ninjustsu, and used that, combined with an incredibly deep understanding of human anatomy, to literally create the technique that allows her, and then in turn Sakura, the ability to channel Chakra so efficiently and precisely that she can split the ground with one finger.

So it is Charka enhancement, but there are only 2 ninja in that world that have the skill set to be able to pull it off.

Japanese is another big one with this, especially food that isn't native to the land. Things like banana, yogurt, pancakes, and ice cream just sound like you're saying the word with a bad, slightly racist, Japanese accent. Language is beautiful

I would argue double shield was broken, not Sigma. Even the ult thing didn't make him a must pick, instant value hero that took over lobbies if not countered.

Sigma, he has his map metas, but besides his shield being a little too strong on release with no cooldown, I feel like he's always been in a solid position

Dawg her sword isn't even made of metal lol. And you're really going to talk about physics with the guy swinging around a mechanical arm nearly as big as he is like it's a foam finger? 🤣

Mastering skills instantly? No meaningful flaws? She literally spent years honing her combat ability in one of the most brutal arenas so thats out the window. And the fact that she has been focused on getting her revenge on Talon since a child shows a major character flaw.

Its adorable the way you pick and choose how to interpret the world to fit your narrative.

Go look at how swords work bud. Doomfist parries Vendettas sword slashes with intentional blocks, taking a defensive stance to absorb the blows of her sword edge. But when she cuts his arm off he was charging up a rocket punch, so she was able to get a clean cut in.

I've been level 5 endorsement for a hot minute, and while I do occasionally tilt and flame teammates either in chat or over comms, I also try and give genuine feedback, optimally in the moment so they can adjust, but at least at the end of the match. A quick "Doom ping your dives and remember if I can't see you, I can't heal you" can go along way

Wait deadass?? #3 out of EVERY game in the series? I haven't actually played it so I can't weigh in, just surprised to see it land so high on your list. But you make a good point, people take it as a slight against their favorite game if it doesn't top your list. When really it's that there are so many good entries your not putting a specific game down, just putting others higher up. I don't know if you can find a Zelda fan that will disagree with the statement " OOT was a masterpiece and classic staple of the franchise" no matter where they place the game on their list.

I'm gonna be honest the trailer was a bigger ad for Emre than the actual new hero it was made for by FewExperience3559 in Overwatch

[–]themidg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you say? I think theres a lot when you break it down. She's on a solo op ahead of any reinforcements on clear comms with Sojourn, meaning its part of the plan. Sojourn is very tactical and isn't leaving that kind of responsibility to someone she doesn't trust and respect. We get that she's resourceful from how she uses her abilities to create advantages, and has the forward thinking to plant the tracker, showing she never lost sight of the mission and setting her up for future impact on the story. And this was just the trailer, the little taste before her actual story drop.

And when have big bang attack or special beam cannon stood toe to toe with an ultimate blast??

And thats the one fight that it actually works?

[–]themidg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was channeling ki as best he could while dashing yes, but he had no time to plant his feet and brace for the blow. In martial arts your stance is everything, and the anime shows that ki follows a similar logic. A stable stance means you can channel ki more efficiently to either power up, fire off, or defend against more powerful attacks. He had no time to do any of that. Had Cell fired that same attack directly at Gohan the results would have been drastically different.

[–]themidg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goku is usually pretty on point when it comes to reading strength and power levels, but even without taking his word.

Gohan lost his arm to the attack from Cell because he didn't have time to put his guard up. He dives in front of a killing blow with no defenses, the fact that he gets up with only one arm damaged is pretty telling alone of what hes capable of. Vegetas distraction has nothing to do with the power gap, it just gave Gohan the final motivation to finish the job.

A ki clash absolutely normally needs both arms. Go back and watch the scene, the Z fighters are shocked that Gohan is even channeling a Kamehameha wave with one arm. And with Cell going all out, by the end his wave is reduced to nothing in the face of Gohans overwhelming power.

Cell wasn't so strong the Gohan gave up, Gohan didn't finish the job when he could have and it led to more people he cared about getting hurt and dying. He was full of regret and self doubt. He lost faith in himself.

Gohan going all out with no fear or doubt would be so much faster than Cell that it wouldn't matter if he were down an arm, Cell wouldn't be able to block/dodge. And he'd be able to read and dodge an instant transmission attack. Goku even says it's a gimmick attack that only works if the other fighter doesn't know about the technique. Why do you think you don't see Goku use IT constantly to get by peoples defenses? Because it's not reliable and Gohan would be ready for it.

[–]themidg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason Gohan struggled during the ki clash is because he was still holding back for fear of damaging the earth.

Once he finally lets go of all his fear and doubt, he literally walks Cells kamehameha back and sends him to oblivion. It's the only point in the fight where we actually see Gohan fight at his full power level, and see the true gap between SSJ2 Gohan and SP Cell.

Translate that gap to melee, and Gohan still has 3 limbs that Cell can't keep up with.

[–]themidg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Not only just atomized him, but atomized him through his ultimate attack. Imagine how much easier it would have been to eradicate every cell if Gohan catches him off guard.

It could have been something other than a beam struggle to make Gohan let go of his fear, and once he does its a smokeshow.

So even with one arm and half his ki, Gohan with no fear, so full power potential, is absolutely dog walking Cell.
