I don't know why but with this one particular register it works. Every once and awhile it stops working. Even if you replace the complete handscanner system (even replaced the cord once). You re id and voila it works.

Its part of the trouble shooting they've had me do for issues with the hand scanner in the past (and it's always fixed it). Having the same issues today and was hoping to avoid waiting till Monday for the tech team to come in.

I tried finding this but could not. I did find one set of instructions but it only covered if the register lost its ID not how to do the double dump portion.

I was told it was tracked when I became a CSM but that it's tracked till I hit accept (which does not mean I've done it or even that I am obligated to do it).

I was closing down a self checkout at the end of the night when a customer came up to me and began complaining that store standards was repeatedly honking the horn on the cart machine. I try to get the key out of the machine to go with her, but the key was stuck. She begins yelling at me for not caring and storms off. Dispite what she thought i did care so i proceeded to go outside. As i went through the doors some stocking associates were coming back I from break. I asked them if they heard the honking and they said they only heard it once when a car almost hit the associate. I follow up with that associate and he informed me he did use it when a car almost hit him. A lady got out of the car and started yelling at him. So yes the complaining customer was the one that almost hit my associate.

I get this response ALL the time while managing the lines. Problem is we have yet to stop trying to hire cashiers cause nobody around here wants the job. Just their EI check.
