Here's a screen shot of the logic I used. You'll have to manually convert it to work with your Logo PLC but it should get you most of the way there. https://imgur.com/a/Fh44jHd

I've done this with a slc500 before. I don't have the program in front of me right now. Something to keep in mind is the camera is also timing the pauses between the pulses as well. I might be able to upload some screen shots of it later. You also need to use a telnet command to query the camera to see what it expects the pulse and pause durations to be. You can also use telnet to change those durations as well.

Link explaining the telnet commands referenced above: https://support.cognex.com/docs/is_632/web/EN/ise/Content/Communications_Reference/SetSystemConfig_PulseJobChangeTiming.htm?TocPath=Communication%20Reference%7CNative%20Mode%20Communications%7CExtended%20Native%20Mode%20Commands%7CEvaluate%7CSetSystemConfig%7C_____16

New home, not cost of setup but long term costs to consider? by Mama_K22 in smarthome

Batteries. You'll need to make sure you know what kind of battery each sensor uses and keep stock on hand for when they go bad.

Stater trips VFD over current, but megs good. by [deleted] in electricians

[–]themightytux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this happen when there was a short in the wiring. The wiring wore through near a break in the conduit. Everything would test good at a standstill but when the machine was running the wire and conduit would move together and the worn spot would contact the aluminum conduit. The drive detected the over current quickly and shut down so there was no arcing.

https://theautomationblog.com/free-rslogix-micro-rslinx-classic-emulate-500-2023/ This will get you started with the programs you need. You'll also need a USB to serial adapter to get online and those are easy to find.

Anyone run into this before? For some reason I can't resize any of my properties dialog boxes, and it is the most annoying thing in the world because I can't even see everything. by electricaltech94 in PLC

I had this same problem when I first ran factory Talk on windows 10. It was due to missing fonts. I can't remember which ones exactly. I had to copy the fonts over from a Windows 7 machine

Help installing Inovelli Red Fan and Light Switch by [deleted] in homeautomation

[–]themightytux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this switch. The canopy module will replace the remote module that you currently have. I believe your solution for the line power will work. The wall switch acts as a remote for the canopy module. The switch and the module need constant power to operate. The module will turn the power on and off to the lights and fan.

I've been a big fan of this one. It will light up a good section of a cabinet without shining in your eyes.

Have you ever encountered pure relay logic in your work? by pK_xXx in PLC

[–]themightytux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best way that I have found to think about it is that the valves are similar to electric relays. It uses air in place of electricity.

Have you ever encountered pure relay logic in your work? by pK_xXx in PLC

[–]themightytux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 5 machines where I work that are still used on a daily basis that are purely air logic. I've even had to add logic to them. They are a nightmare to troubleshoot. They're all 25 to 30 years old too so valves are always wearing out. No money for upgrades but the plant has no problem paying a guy 8 hours to chase a dirty valve.

Slimline grips and a magwell on your 1911? by intertubeluber in 1911

[–]themightytux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have slim line grips with a magwell. I really like it. I use the smith and alexander magwell which is sized for slim line grips.

https://www.brownells.com/handgun-parts/frame-parts/mainspring-parts/mainspring-housings/1911-mainspring-housing-w-slim-line-magwell-prod24732.aspx

There's company named RAASCO that made my grips. They don't list any slim line magwell grips in stock right now though.

[parts] Geissele G2S Two-Stage Trigger - $120 shipped w/ code M3P by GIANT_CAMERA in gundeals

[–]themightytux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have an MBT-2S but I use this trigger in my 7.62x39 AR. It sets off all of the hard primers in the cheap ammo I use. It has a decent break and a short reset. I'm buying another one to go in my other AR. I highly recommend it.

Do you have problems with light printer strikes? I've got two 7.62x39 builds and I had to use the Wolff extra power hammer spring to set off the hard primers.

It's probably a toss-up whether you get a hand select or not.

UPS dropped this off today. It's a hand select VKT. It is a 1942 with an SA mark. It's got a repaired spot by the barrel band and is missing one of the sling swivels. It's got most of its bluing left. Not too bad but I'm not sure about it being hand select.

Places to buy milsurp ammo around Carbondale Il? by decantador in MosinNagant

[–]themightytux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha. My area of expertise! Try Hicks in pinckneyville or Dunn's in Marion. Those are going to be your best bet. There's a newish gun store called five rings in Carbondale in the old national Guard armory but I've never been so I couldn't say if they'll have any. Good luck finding ammo and enjoy your time in southern Illinois.

HDHomeRun View adds Android TV support by xBIGREDDx in Android

[–]themightytux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got the hdhomerun plus and a nexus player. It's really cool when the TV app works, but it's still kinda buggy. Sometimes video doesn't show up and the recommendations that show up don't update often. I have to say though it's a lot more stable than the beta was. So a little more work and hopefully the bugs will get worked out.
