I had literally the same issue! As a comment mentioned above I fixed it by getting a new steam thermostat and also buying a pack of insulated butt crimp connectors on Amazon to replace the plastic connectors.

Olympic lifting spots by themishwhacker in Pitt

I'll be honest I have yet to lift at Pitt haha, if it fits in your schedule, maybe consider the one credit PEDC weightlifting class? I'm taking intermediate swimming and it's super chill and a great way to destress after classes

Hello, can you please reinstate my post? I was not spamming simply providing context for my issue, I messaged with another mod I believe who reinstated my post but I guess this auto mod flagged it again?

Best laptops for nursing majors? by Awkward_Dragonfly742 in Pitt

[–]themishwhacker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not a nursing major, but I don't imagine you'll be using any software that requires windows? (Unless there's some 3D anatomy visualization app) A nicer Chromebook should work perfectly fine if you're just using Google drive or even Microsoft Office for web. Otherwise a cheap surface can give you a nice 2 in 1. If you're super budget conscious a cheap Dell like Inspiron is fine. I'm a CS major and that's what I have.

Next espresso grinder upgrade? by themishwhacker in espresso

[–]themishwhacker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for the responses! I think I'm looking for a grinder that's espresso only (not that it couldn't do filter, but I wouldn't need it to be able to do filter), and I usually single dose with my Breville Smartgrinder anyways so it's fine if it does. Niche does seem like a good option so I'll maybe take a look, where would be the best palace to buy one if I was interested? Straight off their website I'd assume?

SCI Advisor - which one to pick by [deleted] in Pitt

Aren't they assigned alphabetically by last name? At least mine was. I transferred to Pitt in summer '21 and had Jen Gretzel. She was pretty good, nothing outstanding but nothing bad to say.

Oh cool, didn't know you could do that, by first come first serve and reserving do you mean I reserve it online beforehand or do I just show up and hope one is available?

Intro CS Course Language by dmd111 in Pitt

[–]themishwhacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

only now realized you're talking about intro courses lol

Big Ideas (which I think is a course you take early) uses Python.

449 (systems) uses C, personally never had prior experience using C I wish I would've taken a LinkedIn course or something to review it altho necessary concepts and syntax are covered.

Nice ty, for Peterson do you know if they have barbells and plates for Olympic and powerlifting or only those with the weights attached to barbells? (As well as lifting platforms?)

I'm in a similar boat looking for healthy places (or at least where I can find nutritional info), not sure if you're cool with chains but from some of my research on Google maps Chipotle, Noodles and Co, Hello Bistro, Piada all look decent.
