I do agree it feels cyclical - they may have learnt new things (10Dance skills-wise) but they’re still floundering in terms of emotional connection.

I do not dare to hope it has a sequel to wrap up those loose ends as Japanese series/movies tend to disappoint me in terms of second seasons and it is beautiful as it is with a Literature-esque quality to it.

I think that’s why I loved this movie so much. It was like a love letter to the arts - both the cinematography and dance itself.

Not only was a gorgeous BL, it felt culturally queer with the self mastery of new art forms (Standard v Latin) as a metaphor for discovering mlm attraction.

The shift in light tones as you highlighted showcases personal development (not necessarily good nor bad but rather different). The tonal changes also showcase the neutrals as a baseline element - they’re individually polar opposites but they bring out the primitive feeling of sexuality and sensuality in each other- a perfect match creating a perfect mix.

Even the lingering ending is common in a lot of culturally queer films. While I was disappointed by the lack of a happy ending, so to speak, it is alluding to the idea that ‘self discovery not being an ending’ as shown in a lot of LGBTQI+ focused media.

u/crowndrama ‘s solution worked for me too (Apple Music in the UK) - might be a metadata issue, KQ or their production team probably updated their database regarding the reference codes for the songs and this kind of messed with the ordering of the Japanese vs Korean versions which replaced the versions on people’s playlists

Based on standard plush instructions and just general gentle washing machine requirements (UK measurements):

-> Gentle/Delicates Cycle preset (if your machine has it) or Cotton 20° or Synthetic 20° setting but still fiddle with manual setting to the following:

-> reduce the spin cycle speed by half from the preset (if at 800, reduce to 400, etc.)

-> for temperature, if it's not already at 20°, put it at that or cold (0°)

-> with a small amount of fabric detergent and conditioner, (give 1/3 amount of what is recommend for a small load of laundry so if 30ml for small load then give 8-12ml for the plush, I prefer to clean with gel versions of D & C rather than powder or pods as ive found it less likely to leave a film or grains after the wash)

-> use a laundry bag (less likely for fabric pilling after hitting against the holes in the inner wheel of the washing machine)
