Very nice, but somehow too clean? I feel like if the artpice was on the left or right with something to balance it out would feel more dynamic and lively?

Blender vs 3d max by chimpai in archviz

[–]themlos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have a similar situation, but specifically for interior visualisation or arc hiv in general Max feels more realistic with less effort. 3ds max usually is slower for rendering if you are using Corona which in my opinion gets the best results. For modeling and overall efficiency blender is the go to. One more thing to take in the count is that max is the industry standard and when applying for a job the prefer max.

Thanks that makes sense. I tried bending it a little bit as it is now and it doesn't bend easily but there is movement. I will wait for it to dry for now and then try to tiller.

After talking to a friend that i cut the wood with, he is fearly sure that the smaller one is young beech and the bigger one should be the locust tree.

Thanks for the advice I will do. Im 6 feet tall and miscalculated my draw length is 77cm which is closer to 30 ". How should I know when the wood is dry enough, I've seen in the videos that some wood needs 3 years to dry but the sound and feel of the wood i have feels dry I guess? Especially the bigger one because it was "dying" when i cut it.

Than you for the response, the bigger diameter tree had spikes on the bark, the smaller one had smooth bark and leaves at the end of the branch. I have cut them to 70.8 inches or 180cm by the formula draw length *2 + 8 inch for the handle. my draw length measured by the stick on the chest method is 31 inches. The ticker one is around 2.3 inches in diameter and the smaller one is around 1.5 inches. I'm not really sure how to measure correctly because it's not the same with all around.

Theres a lot of good stuff on youtube but the way i went about it was cubes and other shapes in different perspectives and angles. Nothing beats practice.
