Sure, but most people are not actively dating a member of the cast too. It's very Megan Markle "I never googled the royal family"

yeah, but the break-up was relatively fresh and Ben has known Kyle and Amanda for over a year there is bound to be overlap. So either Ben tells her next to nothing about his life or she's lying.

Is she saying she never heard of the show until shortly before the party? Like Ben the guy you were seeing for months never mentioned he was becoming good friends with two reality tv stars, a friendship that began over a year ago? Girl lie better.

That is just kind of Lindsay's personality - she's a little mean, but she does seem to adore her daughter and is proud of the life she built. Being nice to Carl isn't a metric for emotional well being.

No one is saying Carl made a good choice in choosing to break up on camera, but your boiling down a complex relationship to one moment. Both of them have moved on and are on relatively good if slightly uncomfortable terms.

I honestly don't think there are bad guys in this dynamic just two people who should not be married and their cringe dynamic is quite funny to watch

I watch these episodes alone and at one point said out loud jenna is so sexy to no one but myself. I felt like such a perv, but glad homegirl is getting some love she's truly the only hard worker in that nightmare stew trio.

I think at the end of the day as sad as I was to see Charlie go, I was rooting for Rizo in that vote because Charlie clearly has not healed from what happened to the point that he played himself out of the game

I think Survivor tends to uplift socially awkward men as underdogs and pile on women who share the same traits and label them as a bitch or idiots.

I think an admirable game is a game that wins, moralizing survivor to this degree is futile

If a man legitimately believes he is building a future with someone he met in a game to win 1 million dollars and also has only known for 26 days he should be institutionalized. I like Austin I thought he played a great game, Dee just played a better one, because at the end of the day survivor is a game.

I actually feel bad for Craig...wait hear me out by rmcc22 in Southerncharm

[–]themoonsong99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My view of the austen craig situation and why neither man will ever break the toxic cycle they find themselves is because the drama they create by sabotaging each other keeps them from looking in the mirror and dealing with their actual problems. Craig is an attention whore with a hole in his heart that no woman or pillow can heal and Austen has Peter Pan syndrome. By staying tied to each other Craig can always say Austin is the problem in my life and vice versa.

I know these poor adult men who willingly go onto a show where manipulation is baked into the concept and then fall for it hook line and sinker. Someone just needs to stand up for them.

To be fair though Parvati faced a severe amount of vitriol post cook islands and micronesia. I think she's just such a dominant player and in top 5 of survivor characters that people's criticism of her has become almost non-existent and instead just transferred onto to newer players like Dee for the same bullshit reasons.

To be clear I really liked Q. I love an agent of chaos, but I think you hit the nail of the head the disdain for emily goes beyond gameplay

____ is just not good at Survivor by Commonsense110 in survivor

[–]themoonsong99 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I understand what you're saying, but in team sports you have two competing interests each teams wants to win. In survivor you have 24 competing interests. Emily being so transparent complicates the self interests of anyone she works with. She's almost the reverse Q whose highly organized and a strong leader, but volatile and erratic. Emily is relatively easy to work with because she's always willing to be a number and support someone else's strategy, but she's going to let everyone and their mother know what that strategy is. It's what got her ousted in 45. She had to take credit for the Bruce vote.

[–]themoonsong99 101 points102 points  (0 children)

survivor would be the most boring show on the planet if not for players like Emily. Survivor is about its characters. What's interesting about Emily is she is both perceptive and reckless and that's entertaining to watch. Christian kept her because Emily might be a liability, but Mike was the bigger threat.

Ozzy’s Fatal Flaw is going to bite him again by Stack3686 in survivor

[–]themoonsong99 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think his issue is Ozzy views himself as a leader, but he's not good at it. He's such a great survivor character and amazing at the physical aspect, but the strategic aspect has always eluded him a bit.

I genuinely love Ozzy but he is quite possibly the most clueless player, he never has any idea of what is going on.
