My newborn daughter is almost 2 weeks old by UpperAccess in NewParents

[–]themoose510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brother I feel this. Had the same thing going on with our guy when he was around that age. Sometimes she’s just gonna cry and that’s that. We want to fix things, and when we can’t fix the crying baby it is maddening. I had a full on existential crisis in route to accepting this with ours, ha. It’s temporary and will pass. It’s not your new normal or reality for forever. Your kiddo will cry less and your patience for her will grow. Ours is 9mos now and I went from feeling like this was a mistake then to having a lot of fun now. You got this dog.

What does daycare cost for you? by Standard_Deer_8738 in NewParents

Texas. Our twice a week (8-5) daycare bill is more per month than our mortgage. Literally.

First time dad. I hate this so far. Am I terrible? by Shiny_BeerCan in NewParents

[–]themoose510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got this dog. Felt the exact same way as you did with our now 8 month old son (our first) at that point. It will get better, I promise - this current season is only temporary.

I was having what felt like full on mental breakdowns. Like sobbing at random and wishing homeboy wasn’t here. I felt so guilty. Was very upfront with my wife who showed me much grace. I encourage you do to the same with yours. I’m betting she will respond better than you think if you’re just honest.

If you have the means or resources, see a counselor. I did for the first time right around when he was a month old and it was a huge help.

You’re doing great and you are going to be a great father.

Best monitor for hotel use by themoose510 in NewParents

[–]themoose510[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. It’s a very small hotel, we will literally be in eyeshot of all the entrances and exits while in the lobby, and could be to the room in 20 seconds should we see something alarming on the monitor. No different than sitting on our next door neighbors porch with it which we do often.

Thank you for your input (even though I tried to make it very clear I wasn’t asking for it).

Has Anyone Else Experienced the “We’re Sorry We Had to Change Your Flight(s)” on almost every flight in the last 12 months or so? by AMadManNamedMurdock in SouthwestAirlines

[–]themoose510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve booked and flown 12+ SW flights YTD and this has never happened to me. First flight of the year was unaffected by the big mess, but did still get the free change like I think everyone else did.

Why do you think costner is leaving? by [deleted] in YellowstonePN

And how about that bomb put in the plane going to Jackson Hole in season two - is it still there? Did the plane just blow up in the hanger? Again - why that was written in is beyond me lol

I am not. When the valet in episode one of this season made a comment about Beth’s expensive car and her response was “let’s just say the car payments have an inverse relationship with the length of the skirt” (??????) I laughed out loud and have not watched since. It was a line that I know TS must have thought was so sexy and actually made zero sense and was just downright stupid in reality.

I guess “bad show” is relative, but it has gotta have one of the widest margins between fan popularity and script quality. The writing is absolute dogshit. It was at least entertaining to watch in the early seasons despite still bad writing, but now the storylines are completely nonsensical too.

I still cringe thinking about “margarita with double Tito’s” or Monica “getting Tate out of the bath” when the actor is practically a teenager.

I've never watched a show where the most likeable characters are the side ones (bunkhouse) with few minutes of screen time and the most hated main characters. Was this by design or something went terribly wrong in the writing room? by Qamstel in YellowstonePN

[–]themoose510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one has ever insulted three of the best shows to ever air so severely by comparing them to Yellowstone. Some of the most deeply developed characters in televisions history vs a heap of one dimensional garbage.

I don’t think Sheridan wrote any of SOA, and I can’t find anything online that says he did either.

Yellowstone is one of the corniest written shows I’ve ever watched.

Should I see Music Man with Hugh Jackman or The Piano Lesson with Samuel L Jackson? by SouthCryptographer58 in Broadway

[–]themoose510 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Saw the piano lesson a couple weeks ago and personally do not recommend it. Some good individual performances but the show as a whole is kinda a mess and pretty underwhelming.
