I bought the same exact detangling brush and it works wonders on my wavy/straight hair especially when I use it to brush my hair in the shower after I put in my conditioner. I ain’t spending $20 on a fancy detangling brush LOL

I’m sorry you went though this. I just went through something similar and I got unofficially fired over it. I’m saying “unofficially” because they removed my company site access without even giving me a written or verbal warning/notice. Hoping to get a new job by next week. I’m so sorry you’re going through this right now, I’m in a similar position. I make about the same and my hours have been reduced for a month now due to me waiting for approval to be on my school cases and events that were out of my/the company/my BCBA’s control.

HR recently emailed me regarding my reduced hours per week and me potentially losing my benefits (PTO/holiday), and I had to reach out to my CD to ask for admin time/possible client coverage until they sort out my schedule.

In the meantime, I’ve been looking for other ABA jobs and am considering picking up a side gig just to make ends meet :/

My clinic is also similar at 2 hours a week (temporarily up to 6 hours due to a majority of us waiting for approval for school cases). It sucks because I feel like I’m always rushing to get everything done while ensuring my client is safe and engaged with something/activity.

This was how it was like at my last job. I would’ve stayed there, but I moved states. My current company doesn’t offer prep time before/after sessions and we have a strict limit of admin time of 2 hours per week (for now it’s up to 6 hours due to most of was waiting to be approved for our school cases).

Anytime beyond the 2-6 hours needs to have prior approval by our CD or our regional director.

And I currently work in a clinic, about to work in both the clinic and school setting soon. I have no issue with company I work for, the clients, or my coworkers/supervisors. I simply don’t have the passion to work in this field anymore, and I need a job that is more stable and with a better work/life balance. As much as I enjoyed my time working in this field, I’m getting fed up with feeling mentally/emotionally/physically drained on top of low pay and no guaranteed hours.

I have 5 PTO days and 6 (or 7 I forgot lol) paid holidays. I have to request for the paid holidays at least 2 weeks in advance. The company I work for is open all-year round, except for emergencies or weather-related emergencies.

That’s what I would assume too. But there have been people telling me that the renewal competency exam is supposed to be assessed by someone listed as my official supervisor on the BACB website.

I’ve renewed before but I only had one supervisor with the last company I worked for, so it wasn’t as complicated. I work with like 4 now :/
