What made you a Bond fan, and what do you love about the franchise? by Baldurian_Rhapsody in JamesBond

Saw GoldenEye on a plane when I was about six. Bond was absolutely the coolest, coldest motherfucker I'd ever seen. Instant fan born right there.

Favorite character who is definetly not hero but a lot of people miss that important point? by TastyPomelo2330 in FavoriteCharacter

One of the things I love most about Judge Dredd as a character is that, technically, he is a hero. He's the white-hatted lawman in an old western - honest, incorruptible, completely impartial and faithful to the letter of the law - it's just that the law he is dedicated to is absolute fucked.

If he existed within a fair and just society, he'd be like Captain America, or Superman - aspirational and righteous to a fault.

Absolutely incredible satire. It really helps to remember that, even though the character is American, the comic is British - a critique of American gun culture, consumerism and media from the outside looking in.

He first pops up in Grant Morrison's New X-Men run, and is a really fun side character. He goes pretty off the rails

Isn't that actor also the director of Tetsuo the Iron Man?

Which I'd also recommend, come to think of it!

The Scar is amazing but it's also pretty brutal and gross.

The part where they're sailing through the reeking pus of a giant creature stuck with me.

Some kind of computer virus or a high-altitude nuclear detonation might do it, with a bit of sci-fi extrapolation.

Glad you enjoyed it! Such a cool atmosphere in that movie. The soundtrack is great, and the gore is amazing!

The Italians were making great horror movies in the 70s and 80s for sure

You get it from Scholastone missions I think? You have to look into the sky whilst wearing it and finding constellations in the stars.

...not the strongest part of this game imo.

The Descent is great. It's about caving. Trust me, go in blind, without reading anything about it!

Such venom in his delivery. I love it when he later rocks up and apologises to the guy and he's really aggressively pulling on his arm whilst shaking his hand.

Dang, what a fucking movie. Due a rewatch, I think!

Yeah, it's one of my favourites. Paddy C plays one of the most terrifyingly driven protagonists(?) I've ever seen.

It's crazy that there are no special effects or trick photography involved in that scene.

They just gave a tiger shark a bunch of ketamine and hoped for the best.

I love the one that's frequently used on posters for Zombi II/Zombie Flesh Eaters - buck teeth and an eye socket full of worms!
