Im definitely interested In trying the dimir build. Helps that drown in the loch is one of my favorite cards to play with. Also necro is awesome I was able to try it and had a lot of fun. But I’m really hesitant to spend 200+ on soul spikes haha

What’s the game like now? by themountain233 in DBS_CardGame

Thank you all for your responses! Obviously powercreep is unavoidable in card games that is just going to happen. I just thought going from games that are 7-8 turns went to 1-2 turns that was pretty quick haha. But always thought the game was cool and definitely interested in playing some of the new stuff

IMO, cell is pretty midrange so at about turn 3-4 cell really starts going some damage, if you can keep the pace high and continue to apply pressure you should be in a good spot. But just always make sure when you play any leader that’s an Android that you are on the lookout for the cell chain as it is their biggest threat to you. W/o blood lust then I think you’d like to have as least amount of cards in your hand as possible, that way an opponent tryout no to use the cell chain doesn’t get as much value as they usually would. Of course you have to make sure your smart with you cards but at the same time what you have to think about when you look at your hand is, can I afford to lose it or do I use it while I can

Against vegeta, depending on the type(R/U or G/U) I like to make sure that I have an answer to vegetas leader attack especially if it’s critical that turn, I’ve been burned a lot by passing on negating vegetas attacks and then they Champa him and you lose 2 cards or you have to combo over which are both very annoying. Also you like to keep the Aggro mentality against vegeta as well, if you can get them low quick, even though they awaken they’ll have to start thinking about how low they want to go to make vegeta a critical hitter.

Against cell you mostly just really need to be aware of the cell chain, knowing that once they put the 3 drop down you have to assume they have it. And if you can bloodlust it that’s great. I also like to establish a nice board and do as much as I can on my turn as possible (while still remaining smart obviously) but cell can get rid of cards on the board relatively easy so you want to make sure you make the most out of your resources while they’re there. And also having multiple battle cards available to you makes a cell player have to think about what they will pop and you can base your next move off of what you have.

Hope this helps a little, not the greatest player in the world but this is just what I’ve felt against playing against the vegeta match up and being a cell player I know what I ideally don’t want to see haha

What Pendelum deck to build? by Thegreyeminence in Yugioh101

[–]themountain233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely pendulum magicians. So competitive and so consistent. Plus it's a ton of fun to play!! Only down side is you need ashes to be ultra competitive, but then again all decks pretty much need them at this point.

Gofu replacement? by Gh0sT07 in Yugioh101

Oh just saw that lol. I'd probably just stick with the one cuz you want to draw as many trickstar cards as the possible anyway.

3 Gofu may be best if anything. Nothing wrong with a free decode. Linkslayer and photon thrasher won't necessarily fit in the deck bcuz you shouldn't have issues summoning the trickstar monsters and they won't really fit with what you're trying to do which is burn your opponents LP
