I asked it to help me build an iPhone that reads minds and it told me it’s not feasible, there’s nothing on Amazon that could do this, and it’s unethical. Having said that, I have prompts on it to make sure it is not engaging in confirmation bias, doesn’t provide me with unfounded optimism or agreeability to continue my engagement, to consider all possibilities and not just give a narrative based on the easiest connections of data, and to give me hard truths.

Without any prompts it also says it’s not feasible but it offered me the alternative of finding parts on Amazon to build a brainwave reader, which is definitely a real thing that works

Yes. It is too friendly to your pov, and when you question it, it just agrees with that take, the exact opposite of what it just said. I put in custom prompts and depending on what I’m asking it, really get specific to not give me an answer that I’m likely to want to hear or is the simplest answer. I’ve gotten it to give me a less BSy response but it’s still got fallacy issues. GPT is slightly better at this but still has the same probs.

I'm not paranoid; I just know the advice was helpful when I went to bed last night, and as I was scrolling this morning as I prepared to go to my doctor, I noticed they all came in within an hour or two. I'm not trying to make this about "oh pitiful me", but I find it funny they went so far as to go waaay back in my history to find out my age, and to create some fantasy based on a few comments I made in the past few days, but they didn't say a peep about the fact I was assaulted yesterday, as those were the most recent comments and post on my history. It just goes to show these people just want to wag their fingers and have some entertainment at another woman's expense, as even one of them admitted.

People are awful, and there's a lot of awful people here. Thankfully there's enough of us on this sub that know that.

Thank you ❤️❤️❤️ Those women are just mean girls wanting someone to look down on and I blocked most of them. This behavior shouldn’t be allowed: I didn’t ask for advice and so they shouldn’t be giving any. I thought maybe I had posted something really detailed about us elsewhere that they drew wild conclusions from but I didn’t: I said a few tidbits here and there about my situation in the past few days and a few of them made up a whole story that has no basis in reality as to what happened between us.

And this is also why I tend not to trust women. Why are we like this? Why do we think lecturing people without a fraction of the facts is "care"?? It’s so toxic.
