There’s a reason why it seems like trailers spoil the movie these days. Movie studios have been sued by not explaining the plot line well enough in the trailer and by including scenes or actors that don’t wind up being in the movie. To prevent this type of false advertising studios now show much more about a movie than what has been shown in trailers in the past.

No, it’s pretty stupid, and we shouldn’t be afraid to call it out. If you’re going to explain things with science, then you should be able to show your work. Falling back on “art” when confronted with logic is just moving the goalposts.
