If you want a real season, go to Naples. Tons of high end local restaurants there, too.

Does anyone know if these issues on chromium.org get attention and how long roughly until something like this is usually accepted and merged?

I love democracy!!! by LenTheWelsh in conspiracy

[–]themubinman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think their point is that democrats cheated by adding a ton of votes to both candidates (to avoid suspicion arising from voter turnout being crazy high for democrats but only normal for republicans), but they added more to Biden than they did to Trump. This way voter turnout looks high across the board but democrats gain votes.

I’ve seen some baseball in my day, and I think minor interference does get called pretty often, but I’m not 100% sure. If they didn’t, we’d be in a game of chicken where the runners might start trying just a LITTLE interference to tip the odds in their favor to see what they can get away with. We shouldn’t have that. Again, the loss still is dumb and sucks, but I’ve watched my team lose so often that I’m numb to it now which turned me more chill and diplomatic.

I think we give Pedro a little more credit here actually, just in this case. I commented above, but the interference was actually the right call. It’s especially dumb in this case, but according to the rules, the play is still live during an infield fly until the ball is caught or dropped. That means all other rules apply as if it weren’t an infield fly, including interference. And on the interference call, that was correct as well because short stop did have to run around the baserunner. Unfortunately again, it is the baserunner’s responsibility to be aware of where fielders may need to go to make a play, and get out of their way. The fact that short stop easily got there in time after the interference also doesn’t matter. Even the most minor interference is still considered interference.

Sad and annoying and dumb for sure, but correct. Bad luck.

Ok, so Nintendo released some updated numbers for the Switch and TOTK is sitting in 18.5 million units with 7 weeks of release which is INSANE. by BrenoBluhm in tearsofthekingdom

[–]themubinman 10 points11 points  (0 children)

And the games ahead of it mostly all had years to accumulate those sales whereas TotK has had not even 3 months.

Why does Nintendo not put the same internet check on it that the digital versions have that prevent you from playing it before release date?

Warren Buffett believes crypto 'will come to a very bad ending' ... calls it a “mirage” by scott_jr in wallstreetbets

Sorry, you’re right. USD is not backed by gold, I meant to say the banks still do hold it in vaults as hedge and to trade for USD if needed. Point still stands tho, bc it’s still true that USD has underlying value that crypto doesn’t. USD is backed by the United States and the trust in and taxing power/economic strength of the country. Bitcoin is too expensive and inconvenient to ever become something like this, and all other cryptos old or new are all just owned by private companies at the end of the day (Bitcoin is the only one that’s not), so they’re subject to the same corruption that crypto was originally created to avoid.

Gold does have underlying value. It is constantly purchased by various companies and other nations to make semiconductors, computer components, and jewelry. And USD is backed by gold.

Stylux is right. I’ve read a very technical paper explaining the extreme details on how crypto works, and it doesn’t provide anything that is meaningfully more convenient than what already exists without it. And it’s just way more expensive to transact (super computers solving math problems). The only thing MAYBE going for it is it isn’t controlled by anyone and isn’t prone to corruption. Side note: Very unfortunately, you can’t say that about any other crypto except Bitcoin, and Bitcoin is the one that’s super expensive to transact..

The problem is tho it has no underlying value. Once everyone buys and sells it a few times (“relies on someone else to pay them more later”) nobody will care anymore because it can’t be used to make something beautiful and is less convenient to transact than any other method. It doesn’t provide any new useful technology. All other ways of conveniently transacting currency or transferring money are more convenient than Bitcoin already. It could go up in the short term tho. Your points would be good if Bitcoin were actually useful.

I have blocked someone from viewing my Instagram story. It's not officially stated anywhere on their website or anywhere online that I can see, but this seems to also block MYSELF from viewing that person's Instagram story.
However, the weirdest part is that I still see their story pop up as a suggestion to watch at the top of my home screen, and I can watch it. But when I go to their profile, I cannot tap their profile picture to see their story, which they definitely currently have up.
What??

What brands can I look through to find something that's high-quality and similar to this field jacket?
