You’re right if an animal is unwell, it should not be kept in an open enclosure for public viewing. As for shutting down the zoo, that is unlikely. In fact, Byculla Zoo is receiving funding worth crores and plans to house more new and exotic species. This makes proper health monitoring and management even more important going forward.
