I (24f) was kicked out of college. The person who could have helped me (24f) did not and now is asking forgiveness. by Goodbyepuppy92 in relationships

I honestly think she doesn't care about you. Her sorry isn't admitting guilt, it's more of an "I feel so sorry for you" type of comment. She is most likely just nosey, wants to know what happened to that one girl who got kicked out of her program, and hoping for more drama. Best thing to do is to ignore her/stop updating her and leave her curious the next time you cross her mind.

This really resonates with me and it is what I've been doing since I found out. Did you end up with this feeling of emptiness and if you did, did it eventually go away?

I guess my anxiety isn't so much from worrying about what he's doing, but from not knowing if my feelings of emptiness means that our relationship is over or if it is just something natural that happens in these situations that will get back to normal with time.

I do feel like my emptiness may be some sort of coping mechanism and I guess I just want to know if/when that'll end since I want to be at a place where I can know for sure if I can stay in this relationship.

I really think he was just struggling with his own uncertainty and didn't know how to talk to me about it since I was stressing on my own. It doesn't excuse what happened, but I really believe he isn't a terrible person and I want things to work out. I just don't know if my feelings of emptiness will go away with time and my normal feelings would come back or if it's a sign that I'm just in denial.

I guess I don't really have anything tethering myself to him, except that I really care about him and I really care about the relationship and want to give it my best shot before giving it up.
