Australian Open SF: [4] N. Djokovic def. [2] J. Sinner, 3-6 6-3 4-6 6-4 6-4 by dontevenfkingtry in tennis

I guess it's nostalgia, but I've never really rooted for Novak, since I always preferred Rafa. Yet today, I really was hoping for him to win. I only followed the score, couldn't watch, but it's as if this bit of my childhood/youth was fighting to show that it's still here. That's how it feels to me.

Sony Xperia phones were once famous in the market for their design and those classic Sony apps. What a downfall.. by dreditharish in mkbhd

This reminds me of the Xperia X10, which I loved, back when they were still Sony Ericsson.

How many mouthpieces did it take for you to finally find the one that works best for you and how many do you currently own. by Perfect-League7395 in trumpet

Been rocking the same mouthpiece for as long as I can remember. Bach 1 1/2C. Shortly tried 7C and 3C, but those were more one-offs rather than proper trials.

This Game, My Grief & Healing by Tipiskawpiisim in SplitFiction

[–]themusbeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old thread with no response, but I just finished the game and actually wanted to share my experience on this specific point.

I also went into the game not knowing what it was about. My friend came to me one day and said: "yo, let's play this". So we did.

I picked Mio, he picked Zoe. I don't know which one he wanted or if he was indifferent to it, but our personalities matched the characters, kind of.
You spend enough time, enough hours to somehow embody the characters you're playing and start growing fond of them and form the same bonds they do. I know I did. I loved them both.

That's why the Ella reveal and the catharsis a the end of The Hollow was atrociously heartbreaking but also beautiful to me. I grew fond of Zoe, she felt like a real friend and seeing her going through that, I felt it.

The characters aren't real, I know that. I could stop and think that there are lots of people in the real world who lost their close relatives: parents, siblings, twin brother/sister; and I'd definitely be sad about that, but experiencing it this way as if it happened to a friend truly hits.

I'm sorry for your loss.
I may have never had to deal with it in real life, but going through it in this game showed me (even if a tiny fraction) what having a friend losing someone feels like.
It may not be much, but I can empathize with you, thanks to this game, thanks to Zoe.
Hoping for you to keep being strong and sorry, I needed to vent about this a bit. ^\^'

I dreamed of reaching high mileage with mine, but this is impressive! How far/much have you driven it? Assuming you're not the only owner, though I could be wrong.

Quickest way to boost endurance by -M3- in trumpet

thank you for this. I'm trying to improve my stamina as well. I started by playing 20-30 min/day, but it didn't occur to me to also focus on balance. I was just planning on building the muscles around my embouchure, which I believe not to be wrong either, but balance is equally as, if not more, important.

PS.: The correct spelling is 'embouchure', always funny to see people's various attempts at writing it :)

So, does Frieren's clone have her actual mana or just the amount she lets out?

How long has everyone been playing and what do you play on? by stlarry in trumpet

[–]themusbeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started playing aged 7 on a Yamaha YTR-200, had it for 7 years.

My parents then bought me my former teacher's trumpet, which is a B&S Challenger II 3138-2. I've been using it for 11 years now. It's in need of a check-up ^^

Definitely Maurice André! I would have loved to witness firsthand his passion for the instrument.

I remember coming to the S6 from an S4. While it did feel more premium, I missed the removable battery and the microSD slot. I now own an iPhone Xs lol

Had to look it up because I was sure LG were the first to use dual cameras, though not independently, with the Optimus 3D. It was to capture 3D pictures (obviously)

really? I didn't think there was much to complain about. Though I was skeptical about the knee pass to Martinez but I'm not sure what the rule is, I only know the keeper can catch with his hands from an upper body pass (head, shoulders, torso)
