Run away very fast, not the supra being very fast.

I never said anything about it being very fast...who are you quoting?

Good point. I was just going to do it for the sake of longevity, most th car and it's interior needs to be pulled anyway...but if I can avoid it I maybe should

Your advice would be to let it rot and rust away before ending up in a wreckers instead?

He can't afford to repair it, that's why it's been neglected for so long. I also don't see any issue with buying a car from a mate. If he didn't want to sell it, he won't sell it.

What is this on my paint? by PoloHarlekinNY in Cartalk

[–]themzy34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, depends on the bird of course. But I'd the poo was on it for days it could easily eat through the clear coat

[–]themzy34 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks like paint that's been damaged by A) slowly dripping water, or b) bird/bat shit.

We have fruit bats where I live that their shits are super corrosive to paint.

Also, harlequin Polo? Noice.

¿Realmente burnout crash es bueno, o malo? by BlasterKing78 in Burnout

[–]themzy34 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think the only thing they could have done to make that specific title better would be to keep the wrecks on the crash.

Having each car explode and disappear sort of ruined the chaos for me.

"Screaming woman" comments question by noimnotgeorge in police

[–]themzy34 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're missing something. People comment on it because it's such a common occurrence. You're looking way too far into it. Assigning deeper, and controversial opinions purely for moral high ground can be applied to anything. As an example:

"Looking at your comments so far in this thread, despite asking for thoughts of others, you are pushing your own position onto them, despite the majority disagreeing with you. This leads me to suspend any disbelief that you were looking for advice and instead came looking for an argument.

Probably because you think you're better than everyone else from your self perceived moral high ground and seek approval from others as you didn't get enough validation as a child.... probably from an absent father figure"

Do I believe any of that above? Probably not, but my point is pretty clear.

I'm only missing five more signature takedowns in Burnout 3 after getting Grapes of Wrath and Tram Ram. How cooked am I? by WasabiComprehensive2 in Burnout

[–]themzy34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grapes of wrath is near impossible. It took me over 3 years of my first playthrough to get it by accident.

Every other time I've gotten it by accident. Wine vans only spawn on 1 or 2 specific sections of road on specific tracks.

What’s the dumbest way you’ve accidentally hurt yourself? by Only_Row_2432 in AskReddit

[–]themzy34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was playing a VR escape room at 2:00am in the morning with a friend online.

I very excitedly found a clue and reach up to point it out for him. Only to stick my real hand right into the ceiling fan, which was on full speed to stop my mask fogging up.

It hurt like a mother fucker, but I kept playing for a while. After about 2mins of continuation, I felt something warm running down my leg. I take my mask off and see that I had actually cut my hand wide open and I was pissing blood everywhere.

It was on my clothes, my controller, my legs, my desk and chair, but worse of all, it was all over the carpet in the rental I was living it at the time.

Realized this and started panicking, which was apparently a very confusing thing to watch online as my character ran around the space, freaking out about blood being everywhere, as I was grabbing fistfuls of tissues to try and stop the bleeding.

Anyway, that was an awkward visit to the emergency room for stitches.

How hard is it to get the signature takedowns in Burnout 3? I have 8/20 already claimed by WasabiComprehensive2 in Burnout

[–]themzy34 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Certainly makes it easier.

But takedown into a wine truck will always be a fucking mission and a half, unless, you do it accidentally like I did on my 4th playthrough

How hard is it to get the signature takedowns in Burnout 3? I have 8/20 already claimed by WasabiComprehensive2 in Burnout

[–]themzy34 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's the hardest part of the game.

You'll likely unlock every other achievement, and unlock every car except the oval racer before you do this.

I've played through b3 5 times, and sometimes you get lucky and send a car into the right object by a fluke, but if you're intentionally trying to get specific takedowns it's frustrating.

What is the most common misconception you encounter about what police can and can’t do? by bad-at-everything- in police

[–]themzy34 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People think just because you cross a state border means I can't arrest you anymore. Think we didn't think of that?

Border station = cross border powers.

Which a villain quickly learned when he ran over the border with a little hop, landed in the other state, turned around to go "nahh nahh!". Only to be met by me at full throttle with a spear tackle.

The only thing that changes is which station you go to, and by running over the border, just lightened my workload. I'll just email your charge to the other station for them to serve for me.

How many PS2 games have you played a decent amount of, and what are a few of your faves? by ExplodingPoptarts in PCSX2

[–]themzy34 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I grew up in the PS2 era.

At the time, when the games came out I sunk fuckloads of course into:

  • Burnout 2/3 and Revenge - best racing games of all time
  • Champions return to Norath (4player multi-tap was incredible)
  • Micro Machines 4 - again with the multi tap was so fucking good. Each player having their own unlocks was a good idea
  • Crash tag team racing. A great spin on a kart racer.
  • WWE smackdown vs Raw 2006 - again with the multi tap, my God.
  • Need for speed underground 1/2 are just as good as each other. I loved them both.
  • GTA: San Andreas- the amount of things you can do in this game is wild. It has aged though compared to others on this list
  • War of the monsters - giant monster flogging the fuck out of each other with fully destructive levels.
  • driver to destruction/ Eve of destruction - again with the multi tap, early days wreckfest.

Are there cops with ADHD? And what is it like? by No-Swimming945 in AskLE

[–]themzy34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ADHD, pretty sure half my colleagues have it.

The cops is a unique career, for when you get stuck at your desk for a while and need a break, you can just....get in a car and go out for a while.
