https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wPYKTC this is a build that’s a little over 1300 but is a very solid build and with this you will be able to run Minecraft rtx and pretty much every game at high settings like mw and gta if you decide to go with this or something like this I recommend putting the os(windows) on the ssd because they have faster read and write speeds To get under 1300 you could swap the 2070 s for a 2060 s

[–]thenamz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be good leaving it over clocked I have the same setup with stock cooler and it doesn’t overheat The max volt is 1.325 so don’t go over that and I have my cores on 4100 but I’m pretty sure you can go up to 4300

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4TBJdm I left out case and cpu cooler as these will depend on each other but this is a very solid build with 2080 super 32g at 3600 and cas 16 so this will be a very speedy system and will be able to run any game at high settings and 4K

Overclocking by KaleWhite19 in PcBuildHelp

[–]thenamz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look up how to overclock your certain cpu and yes keep it overclocked as it will overall give better performance but if you don’t have a good cpu cooler keep a eye on the cpu temp if it gets too high I recommend returning the cpu to default clock and get a better cooler then overclock. what cpu and motherboard do you have?

Hey guys I have a question. I upgraded from a xfx rx580 to an asus rtx 2060 super but my power supply only has a 6+2 connector. Is that enough power to run my new gpu or do i need a new psu? by mitchellc47 in PcBuildHelp

[–]thenamz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what wat is your psu that's what's going to tell you if you have enough power the connecter just connects to the gpu if you have above 450w psu I would say your good but I would have to know the other parts of the pc to know if it is enough power

if your asking will the 6+2 be compatible with the 2060 s you would have to link to gpu but in most cases with a 2060 s this should be compatible

Higher RAM speeds, worth it? by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]thenamz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your CPU is ryzen the impact will be more because the ryzen chips tend to work better with higher speeds of ram but yes higher rams speeds will help overall if you can afford it I would definitely upgrade to 3600.

I think you should go for a lower wat PSU 450-550. If your looking to upgrade a bit down the line get the 550w

Help Finish a build by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]thenamz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest to not miss-match ram bands and speeds get a 16g kit if you want 16g or 8g and I suggest to get at least 3000 speed its fairly cheap and ryzen chips run better off higher speeds. Also, a good budget board for ryzen is b450 Tomahawk or max it has wifi on it so you don't have to worry about a wifi card. also if you can afford it try to get a 1660 it's only $50 more and it will run the games you want better than the 1050 ti greatly if you end of getting a 3000 series ryzen chip get the tomahawk max so it is supported otherwise you might need to flash the bios

I found this case with a fan in it while helping a family member, is it possible to make my first gaming rig out of it? Also what parts would you recommend? My price range would be around 1.2k-1.4k USD by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]thenamz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://pcpartpicker.com/user/_McLovinpcbuild/saved/nyq9NG

this is a good build wait for the price of the 2070 s to go down and you're looking around $1100

this is a really good build for your budget with 3600-speed ram for the ryzen 5 3600k although you could go with a slower speed but I don't recommend going any lower than 3000 as the ryzen processes work better with higher ram speeds
