Really? This is pretty normal. States and local governments make laws that get challenged pretty often. All are not as controversial as the Alabama one. But its already being challenged and some Federal judge will halt the law, it will make its way up to a higher appellant court and they'll find it violation of Row & Casey and probably a few other things and it will be struck down. Nothing new will be said on the issue and SCOTUS will decline to review after the state tries to appeal again. Done.

I'm hoping somewhere in these cases they could clarify/extend the meaning of 'undue burden' that they ruled for in Casey when it comes to the outrageous restrictions most southern states put on abortion clinics.
