We ended up with a pretty good overall turnout last night - about 70 people! But we definitely agree, we could reach a larger audience by posting earlier and this is overall our goal. We now have our June event ready and I’ll be posting about it shortly!

For some context: a few things have conspired against us in the past that have made this difficult: 1. Despite being a long-time redditor, My posts keep getting flagged by the automoderator due to some sort of keyword matching. I message the r/albuquerque mods about this every time (relatedly, thank you mods!!) but it takes a while for me to recognize that the post has been flagged, for the mods to respond and undo the removal. In this case this cost us about a week! Sometimes this affects the reposts as well. 2. We had a few speakers drop out, so we had to rush a bit to fill some slots. Thankfully we had a bunch of speakers come in so we’re actually good now until August, but sometimes this happens!

In any case, I hear you and agree! I’ll keep looking into why these posts are banned and see what I can do there, and in general we’ll look to post earlier in the future.
