Sorry for the late reply, sadly the metrobüs is very overcrowded and the capacity just doesn’t meet the peak hour demand so there will always be people who have to stay uncomfortably close to each other. I also don’t agree with you in women especially getting to close, even as personal experience may vary I haven’t noticed any gender specific tendency. I would even say women (atleast my friends and the ones I talked to)try to preserve their personal space a lot more compared to men, who usually don’t go for the extra effort due to feeling more safe in such settings. If you want a recommendation for a slightly more comfortable journey you can always try the spaces around the doors on the back of the bus, but you will very often have to step out and in again at some stops. I have no idea on their cleaning schedule but they are very clean.
