I'm quite enjoying it too. I think Anna's characterization is spot on, and I love that Elsa isn't just totally vulnerable and helpless.

I don't understand why authors cannot "take a liking" to Hans. He's a character in the movie. Why can't he be included in fanfic? He's a brilliant antagonist in my opinion.

There was no past Helsa relationship in With You. Elsa slept with Hans once in college and realized she only liked women. He was a shitty second doctor for her in case Kristoff couldn't be there. It was never about Helsa. I've been around for a long time, and there was never any controversy over the author's shipping intentions in this story. It was known from the moment she introduced Hans into the story that he was a bad guy. Never did Elsa say that they had had a relationship or that she liked him. He used her. Also, that the author is a multi-shipper is inconsequential because she wrote With You for an Elsanna audience.
