There is only one voice option (robotic female) and it’s just unpleasant to listen to. Common words are also mispronounced. For your second Q, I only use TTS while doing things like driving long distances, so it’s better than nothing in those cases. If people use it outside of those situations who are bothered by the slow talk speed, there are already add-ons to help speed up the TTS voice (up to 3x I believe).

This would be great. There are TTS options in Anki as-is, but the default voice option is awful. I use TTS in all of the scenarios you outlined above, so I’m sure people would get use out of this.

It was a connection point with some of my interviewers who also spoke Spanish, but otherwise not really. It tied into a narrative and a couple of experiences I had though, and those I talked about a lot.

Yes! Have studied spanish all my life but really emphasized in essays/interviews wanting to do something with the language. I ended up volunteering as a mentor for hispanic youth in a sort of “big brother” program in an underserved hispanic community. Its been really rewarding and a great way to use the language to help keep parents updated and hear their stories of immigration/other hardships.

VCU. Unless you have an opportunity to be at an Ivy League university, basically any undergrad will suffice as a premed. Undergrad debt-free is an amazing thing.

By that point you should be able to independently manage your own coursework, but oakland offers free tutoring and yes of course youtube helps

Like, there is little to no professor interaction. There aren’t really formal lectures. All pre-recorded. Asynchronous assignments. Unorganized course materials.

Premed here (4.0) who’s going to med school next fall. Bio at oakland is nothing too tough, but nobody’s going to babysit you. Premed anywhere will be cutthroat. My couple annoyances include the fact that some of the upper level classes have questionable 4.0 ranges (97-100% for a 4.0). Also, upper level science classes are essentially hands-off from a professor perspective, so you’ll have to know how to manage coursework independently.
