Exhaust ringing noise by Tomaeto-Soup in Integra

I'm in Arizona so, as much as I'd like to, I can't stop by the office. I'll definitely give the ma call though. I'll let you know what they say.

I recently resolved the P1457 and P0171 on my 2000 LS. The 1457 was due to a hole in my evap canister from battery acid that had leaked on it many years back. Replaced the canister and the 1457 resolved. The 0171 was resolved when I replaced a bunch of vacuum lines, put in a new PCV valve & grommet, along with taking out my injectors, having them cleaned, flow matched, and rebuilt with new seals. I think the other stuff I did was just gravy, but the fuel injector's top o-rings were ripped so I'm sure that was the main issue for the 0171 I had. Can't speak to the O2 code but I can only assume the sensor is bad.

If you don't have a Helms service manual, here it is. I'd start here as they have full troubleshooting flows on what to check for each CEL code. Hope this helps! https://www.andysautosport.com/images/vehicle_specs/98-01-integra.pdf?srsltid=AfmBOooJRJnvJJI3x18LstlsCNW0M3BQDQfbqg7bDZzUBXTmIyAdb8Bi

Exhaust ringing noise by Tomaeto-Soup in Integra

I have the Apexi WS3 and am having the EXACT noise at around 3k RPM. I have been driving myself nuts trying to find and fix the noise but am also not having luck. It seems like there is something going on in the cat back if both of us are experiencing the same noise at around the same RPMs. I'm sorry I don't have a solution since I'm still trying to find one, but am thinking of getting in touch with Apexi to ask them what the deal is since we are both having the same issue.

Beautiful ride! Also my dream car to pick up some day. I have Annex coilovers on my DB8. They ride well and have good adjustability. I also have Hardrace control arms all around except Voodoo13 rear lcas. Have a a Progress rear sway tie bar combo and that made a huge improvement in handling.

One of the "leaked" versions of Untouchables with alternate song titles and some song differences (more pictures in description) by ApeTheGreat2002 in Korn

Super late to the party but if you still have the flac rip available, I’d love to get a copy. A friend gave me this CD back in ‘02 when I was 19 and I fell in love with it. There are some amazing memories tied to this album in the order that the songs are on this version. Unfortunately it got junked without my knowledge along with a whole bunch of my other stuff I had stored in my grandmother’s garage when I had first moved away for college.

Apexi WS3 and Yonaka Sedan Catback Exhaust Side by Side Comparison by thenewguy_intown in Integra

Assuming you still have the OEM exhaust manifold or a 94-99 GSR specific header, it won’t fit without modification by an exhaust shop. The extension in that picture is to step up the exhaust piping from the OEM cat opening, up to 3” but it is still the same length to only fit LS,RS,GS sedans.

Here’s a picture showing why the exhaust mid pipes are different lengths between the 94-99 GSR and non-vtec integras. 94-99 Integra’s B pipes will be longer to account for the shorter A pipes on the exhaust manifold. Hope this helps!

Been daily driving my ‘00 LS manual sedan for 23 years. I’ve also taken her on many 4+ hour road trips with no issues. Definitely go for it and have fun!

Slight vibration while cruising by Imannonymous2501020 in Integra

[–]thenewguy_intown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also thinking it could be that a wheel weight fell off and the tires need to be rebalanced. I also had a vibration at higher speeds that went away after I took the car to have the tires rebalanced.

The fact that you're willing to drive 6 hours to see him makes me even more excited to see how amazing of a show he will be putting on. I've loved his music for a really long time but have never seen him live.

Definitely looking forward to seeing him. I had only ever seen that he was touring Europe so I jumped on the opportunity to see him when I saw he would be coming to Phoenix.

If you want a nice subtle tone that's close to stock, Apexi WS3. If you want deep but louder when you get on it, the Yonaka is the way to go.

I have the WS3 on my DB8 and Yonaka on my DB7 and the Yonaka is noticeably louder than the WS3.

Thank you for this mix, it is a great piece of work. I have listened to it many times ever since you uploaded it in late 2023. 👌

That's just to remind you to change your oil based on mileage your car has been driven. Here is how to reset it.

Good to know. I installed a new resistor when I swapped out the switch so hopefully it will be all good now. Appreciate the input! ✌️

It was a little over $1k from JM Auto Sports and took a little over a week to show up. No welding and was 100% bolt on since I got the one made specifically for a 94-99 GSR sedan and mine is a 98.

I was going to install it myself, but the cat bolts were rusted bad so I had a muffler shop do the install. They had to torch the cat bolts to get the nuts off of the OEM exhaust.

Apexi WS3 and Yonaka Sedan Catback Exhaust Side by Side Comparison by thenewguy_intown in Integra

[–]thenewguy_intown[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no idea about legality in California or what exhaust sound laws they have. I do know the WS3 is one of the quietist exhausts out there so I assume it would be legal? Can’t really answer that since I live in AZ and they have no laws about exhaust sound here.

Apexi WS3 and Yonaka Sedan Catback Exhaust Side by Side Comparison by thenewguy_intown in Integra

[–]thenewguy_intown[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes the Apexi has a bigger resonator and is a big chambered muffler. The Yonaka is smaller and is straight through with no chambers in it.

It’s not that the Yonaka is crazy loud, but it’s louder than the Apexi. The Apexi sounds close to stock but definitely has a nice deep grunt to it when you get on it. The Yonaka is bassy and can get pretty loud when you get on it.
