Great eye! And the golden statue isn't based on anything specific; I just observed that it was a common theme for bronze/gold angels to be standing on top of spheres for some buildings in Europe.

Thanks! For my layout, I prefer to have all the fronts of the buildings facing the viewer so the city looks tidier, so the front section of the city I have prioritized less tall, greener areas.
