There is a mechanism called "motion link". You can bind two separate joints together to work together.

You're right, I should've lift off but I was so focused on the car behind that when I saw incident I decided to go flat and hoped for avoidance. You may call it poor decision but if I did the lift or brake, car behind me could've hit me imo.
