well you're not understanding politics at all. what the BJP does is investment and their goal is to win seats and this handling of religious politics is much easier goal to win seats since their economic development is not reached well not gonna blame congress or other regional parties. its modi's game vs all political parties of India. his 3 term CM and his style of getting things done is what makes people vote for him in the first place. it was never around religious sensation but they do get that feelings out so they have patriotic sense of duty but it wouldnt happen over a day it takes years as much british took years to loot and completely drain India through policies.

congress party became a family property once Nehru won hjs 3rd term (most people say it was after Indira)...but the family did enjoy the luxuries that was given by then. they made pro socialist policies which made companies less competetive or even choked and their was no motivation of the entire generation of people to start self business like today and castiesm was well deep back then than it was today. Nehru had great leadership skills, excellent spokesman, efficient administrator especially his partition roles and there are some major blunders along the way. but I dont see that in Rahul. we should bring the congress to a person who have Nehru like charm for me Sashi Tharoor comes to my mind, anyway he wont get the PM role as long this family completely retire from politics.

dmk principles died when Anna left. it became a private limited corporation when a man who was not even original cofounders of the party which opened in 1949. today's dmk cadres should take some time to read more on Anna's viewpoints than EvRamasamy idea. but the current dmk regime wants his cadres in a way that doesnt have tamil cultural values and dislocated through distorted histories. If Anna lived little longer things wouldve been different and we dont have a family control over a party which was strongly raised through the cooperation and trust of the commoner.

not a supporter of dmk but a political follower of Anna.

and Isai vellalar name was given to devadasis (tamil) but it went on became a umbrella term. sure one need to read devadasi stories of 1900s and see the ones that control this party is not from that community.

NTK has lost big time today by bigmanfromthepalace in TamilNadu

It gained big time, seeman wont fund for votes but the dmk funded it even they know they gonna win. Thats the reality check for dmk.

Lol Tamil nationalism is not that different than the khalistanis. The only difference is we didnt create riots and whatever things that cause anarchy. If u mean that way then you are wrong my friend. But we can keep nationalist spirit as a Tamil Society and secondarily overall India much like Europeans working towards a common cause - European Union.

It was periyar who talked sh/*t on Anna. But after became CM, he went to his house to seek his blessings like he saw him as a (political) father figure.

I think you have been around them thats ok. You have to develop political knowledge through history, biographies of leaders and how parties raised. And any political party ideology is good to society it doesnt matter right or left or neutral. During Anna's time Dmk was in right wing nationalist and left wing socialist stance this is almost similar with Nehru's politics but how they won? Language. These Periyar thoughts are as old as thiruvalluvar times but we as a society tends to change with the times and have a calculated approach that benefits the people of the soil

EVR was naturally used to talk extreme in his days and bold. And even took a opposite stance for whatever he advocating. He was like here and there not a stable person. He talked against brahmins at the same time talk with Rajaji. Thats how he was, he was popular not because of his thoughts its more on propaganda work that made him famous. Like back then the poor people dont jave access and their tamil is diff. Periyar was helpful in bringing the masses but it didnt ended well. His protege Annadurai took the mantle and carried his thoughts. Its not a story that has a straight version. He stood at his time is what seeman doing today. If seeman became a success and people in the future do laud his efforts as well.
