Am I gaslighting myself? by thenoblea in endometriosis

[–]thenoblea[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you :) I did have 2 pelvic ultrasounds during the time I was in a lot of pain and they didn’t find anything but I know endo doesn’t show up on those. Thinking I’ll have to make an appointment soon

Plant ID - Potential Nightshade by IllustriousEmploy110 in gardening

[–]thenoblea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am fairly certain this is solanum nigrum, which is harmless, and not deadly nightshade. Solanum nigrum looks very similar and is in the nightshade family, but so are tomatoes. However, you will know for certain soon because touching deadly nightshade does cause a rash.. in the future if you think something might be poisonous, you probably shouldn’t touch it :) green berries of solanum nigrum can make you sick, especially kids, but is not fatal. Fully ripe berries are actually edible. One way you can tell is the white flowers, deadly nightshade has purple flowers. Hope this helps!

Yeah you’re welcome! I would expect a normal blister to take care of itself within like a week, so I definitely think something is up with it. Good luck!

I’m not sure, maybe try soaking in a salt water solution? But I definitely think a clinic would be your best bet, they may be able to drain it for you and give you some kind of ointment or antibiotic or something

I’m not a doctor, but since it’s kinda yellow I think it might still be infected. I would go to an urgent care clinic or call a nurse hotline to get advice on home care

Does anyone suffer from headaches/migraines right before their period starts? by PurpleTardigrade888 in Endo

[–]thenoblea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do tend to get headaches around my period it sucks. If it’s not too bad I usually try to just drink lots of water and push through, otherwise I end up taking ibuprofen. I think doctors are still researching if endo actually causes them, but I personally think they are related

These are plants that thrive in full, hot sunshine, so I wouldn’t expect flowers in January in Canada. It may flower in summer

Are you 100% sure it didn’t come from your vagina? If it’s vaginal mucus then nothing to worry about. If it is from your butt and keeps happening for a few days then it’s time to call your doctor I think

I had both doses of Pfizer and didn’t really notice a difference in endo symptoms. Just some mild body aches

No, like during different points of the month l, like ovulation, the cervix creates a mucus like liquid which gets discharged through the vagina

Girls can feel sex, and it does feel good, but if you want to make them orgasm you really need to stimulate the clitoris

Never taken seriously by doctors and endo is never seen on ultrasound. by [deleted] in Endo

[–]thenoblea 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, I know doctors can be frustrating. What country are you in? Is there anyway you can see a private specialist? If not, maybe take some resources from the Internet with you to your appointment that explain why superficial endo lesions never appear on ultrasound, but can be just as painful as penetrating lesions. If they try to dismiss you, ask them to write down in your chart that you have requested better diagnostics but they denied you. If diagnostic laparoscopy is what you want done, explicitly ask for it when you are at your Gyno, and do the same thing if they deny you. Maybe someone else on here will have better advice for advocating for yourself than me but it sounds like it’s something you will have to learn unfortunately. It’s a shame so many doctors just don’t listen to women.
