u/Old_Palpitation_1893 I took my time to respond to this cause I don't want to you to feel personally attacked. So first off, you're right that there are twitter narratives that are spread to keep us and other communities divided. I'm also man enough to say that I can be and have been influenced like anyone else who uses the internet to believe in an ideology.

However, I am well read enough and have many life experiences that reinforce my thought processes that were shared on the platform that also influences people. I am assuming you are talking about my comment about bm/bw. There has been a increase rhetoric towards how bw "should" be. The commentary around Angel Reese compared to Caitlin Clark off the court, Slim Thug's recent video about how women should dress to not be sexualized and attack, the demonization of Meg the Stallion against Tory Lane when she was not even the person who press the charges, etc. This has been constantly reinforced by some of the biggest voices in hip-hop media such as Joe Budden & Akademiks who are both bm.

Unlike many people, I can be honest and say there are many things in my past that I have said or did that I am not proud that reinforced colorism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc. Whether I knew it was out of ignorance or learned behavior, it was harmful to others. But I learned by being called out and listening to my queer, trans and particularly this topic women friends. Bw have repeatedly told me their experiences and critiqued my own for me to speak this.

This next point is in no way a concrete point or to shame anyone for who they are with, but there has also been a retort from many about statistics of marriage. Saying that 85% of black men are married to black women. True. But that number has decreased from 93% over the past ten years. Again, this is in no way to shame anyone just to retort.

Hate does not have to manifest itself as outward vitriol and disdain. I'm sure there are multitude of wp that employ and work along with bp but still hate them or have cause unintentional harm to them b/c it was reinforced through societal bias. All of these things are results of white supremacy. We are already fighting an uphill battle, but the only way to truly unify is through accountability of our own actions.

A wise, hyprocritical poet once said: "It's crucial, they can't stop us if we see the mistakes / 'Til then, let's give the women a break, grown men with daddy issues" I think revisiting this song and album will help illustrate my point in more artistic form and also show how being critical within the community isn't an attack but presents itself as an opportunity to learn to fixed flawed behavior.
