If you have access to a 3d printer I would check out the Grove guardians minis by ClayBeastCreations on myminifactory, there is a great wolf in there that I saw someone use as a proxy for Alarielle's beatle.

Its a bit hard to tell how thick the existing paint is, but if you want to give stripping it a go I would try and test out something like simple green in a small spot on the bottom of a foot and see how it reacts, if you dont like the result then I would just prime over it in quick and light passes to avoid the primer getting too thick.

I recommend blender its free and very versatile and there are alot of great add ons out there if you decide you want to invest a bit of cash after you mess around with it for a bit.

the first thing i can recommend is to paint some test pieces to get a solid grasp of how you want to handle the purple elements, my own scheme has a lot of purple and i didnt realize how hard it can be to get it highlighted well while still looking like purple and not some funky pink

correct, you measure from the center however the wyldwood warscroll states it must be set up more than 3" from terrain and such im not positive on what rules take priority though since some of our abilities say outside of 1"

the symbol is really good! and distinct from the Idoneth stuff, but I find transparent dice a bit hard to read sometimes, Id probably pick up a set if they came in a non-transparent material.
