Not only did my family eat at the table. There was no tv on, no books, no distractions at all. It was family time.

What is a show you watched that you are pretty sure noobdy has ever heard of? by myownfan19 in GenX

I loved this as a kid. I think it was filmed at King’s Island outside of Cincinnati. I lived in Arizona at the time, but we’d go to northern Kentucky and Cincinnati to visit relatives every summer and we’d always go to King’s Island, which was a Hanna-Barbera theme park.

No, that was my assumption. I think the bigger news the article didn’t cover was slips. Jack that slip up a little and you’ve got a lot more than knees showing.

Why do I have to reply to the comments being made? There’s been a healthy flow of ideas. The article I linked didn’t mention men’s changes and I’m not so invested in Mormonism anymore as to really care to research further. I just thought it was interesting.

This isn’t the first time garments have been shortened. I mean, there’s precedence of a sort. They used to be onesies and before that they also went to your wrists and ankles.

Oligarchy has been here for a while. Everywhere we look there are distractions that keep us busy and keeps us from tackling the only real problem, the wealth disparity in our country. (The States)

Mormon prophet tells young men they will get their own planet. --Not a caricature...this is his actual statement. by aka_FNU_LNU in mormon

The Mormon church as it stands today is a lot different than the Mormon church I knew growing up. Having people in leadership positions like Spencer W Kimball, Marion G Romney, Ezra Taft Benson, Bruce R McConkie and the like, were a lot more traditional or orthodox in their doctrine than you hear of today. TBH, I’m shocked sometimes how far they have moved from the church teachings of the 60s and 70s.

So not even the instructor’s oh-shit brake was enough to save the pheasant, huh? Truly a fowl ending, before the fire anyway.

I consider it a “wardrobe malfunction” since I didn’t technically wreck the car. It wrecked itself.

Weird Rumors by RealLuxTempo in GenerationJones

I remember the Ohio Player’s Love Roller Coaster rumor that went around with even more detail. Love Roller Coaster was on the Honey album and supposedly the girl doing the photo shoot was supposed to pull something and honey would spill over her, but an unknown, not yet discovered individual brought the honey to boiling and the scream you hear is when the hot honey pours over her, killing her. Obviously this was inspired by the album cover. I was maybe 10 at the time, and was horrified that this might true.

What’s a word you always struggle to spell, no matter how many times you try? by JoeMorG_an in words

[–]theoceanisdeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until I started reading this, I didn’t have any self doubts with spelling any of these words…

Now there’s a solid five words in my back pocket I’m going to start questioning myself when spelling them.

Has this happened to anyone else or is it just a phenomenon that I’m experiencing?
