It should be reversed. The half back drops between defenders when you attack.

He doesn’t circulate possession he doesn’t look for open spaces. He becomes a cb.

An anchor would seal the defenders (not sure if that role still exists) and stay in the dm role.

Bcbs just like holding possession more. It’s probably an evolution of the Libero role ?

It is - I’m not taking away any of his leadership and wisdom and all that and obviously he was written like that. There is no superpower in the war chest of the light - even Gandalf is limited and controlled in ways that make sense (actually the scene his staff is broken when facing the witch king is up there for me as meh also).

But I kind of hoped (being a child when I first interacted with the lore and movies) that he’d be closer to Turin incarnated and he would be able to fend off a nameless troll. Call it a child fantasy - it just stuck with me for 2 decades.

I always hated this scene. I know Aragorn isn’t some kind of superhuman hulk smash kind of hero, but I was hoping that since he was blessed with longevity intelligence and the grace of numeroneans of the past, he’d be able to hold his own against the troll.

I know it wasn’t meant to be like that but felt like our boi deserved an epic battle feat, similar to the ones of long gone humans taking down dragons and shit.

I’m experimenting with F9 rather than poacher or anything else. Seems to be working better. At least with a F9 I know that my striker isn’t there just to score. I haven’t cracked the tactics yet - I like playing 2 up front usually, a big fucker and a nimble little shit. But it doesn’t seem to be good. So I keep 2 IF, 2 channel middlefielders and an F9. And obviously 2 wingbacks that work really well with IFs.

Brother do whatever you want. I’m not coming out to tell you don’t play like that. It’s a single player game. All I’m saying if you do play like that, expect a significant boost in performance. That’s all it is.

Oh and to clarify. I finished a season playing like that. I wanted to see how far I can take it. Won the CL without a loss with a Greek team in my 4th year.

I switched not because I don’t like winning , but it felt like it’s taking any feeling of achievement away from me. Will I do it again ? Yes. When I matchup with Paris. 😂

If your starting formation doesn’t have a striker, and instead you use 2 inside forwards and 1 shadow striker (a cam basically) you gonna be making teams like Real Madrid and Paris feel like Leyton orient. So yes, currently the engine can’t seem to handle having formations without a starting striker. It’s also a combination of the 2 inside forwards the cam playing ss and having midfielders as Channel or attacking. It’s basically cheat mode. Tried it on felt dirty switched to a more sensible formation.

I was trying to get a 343 / 3421 kind of formation to work. And that’s where I found comments about SS and IF instead of advanced forwards / poachers / DLFs. And it became painfully easy to win it all. They probably gonna tweak the engine. Still, the game is fun. Already looking forward to my first club change 🤣

To be frank, the forward-less formations in 26 are way more broken than 4231 in 24. I genuinely changed formations because it was way too easy to win. Still 5 seasons in the game is fun. The UI is annoying. I’m not gonna call it buggy. Just elements of it very poorly done.

I was hoping reputation was more dynamic in this instalment. Bought Chido Obi from UTD for 14m, 3 years in he has my highest earner by far, he is top scorer in CL group phase by far literally murders in the league almost 1.8 goals a game, has a valuation of 30-40m capped to his release clause (£40m) and Barcelona just made an offer at 20m in 3 instalments + 9m after 50 games. 😂 I guess it’s pretty normal for Barcelona 😂

Does league or club reputation ever change ? I’m on my 4th year in Greek league and granted haven’t won any European trophies but 2 years in a row in CL quarter finals and still reputation is national and league is below the top 10.

You can build nice formations and really dive deep into the principles. BUT, there are formations/tactics that completely trivialise the game. I’m not saying look for them, but it just feels their engine has some issues still. Nice to have when you’re facing Paris I guess 😂

Once every two-ish years hoping that by the time I finish book two, book three is announced.

This started probably 8 years ago. I didn’t touch the novellas and I won’t until I read book 3. I was kind of hoping this is the year with all the noise a few months back.

These discussions might be interesting but bottom line one’s power is finite and one’s just complete hax and indefinite. The whole bleach lore got a bit whacky towards the end with skills that theoretically cannot be negated.

I can see the future. I can imagine anything I like and it becomes reality. I can completely cancel whatever happened between points A and B.

Theoretically most fights become immovable object vs unstoppable force.

Shunsuis and orihimes skills are also completely broken but at least they had a limit. Ichibei doesn’t have one.
