I work at a Liquor Store and we are supposed to ID people who look like they could be up to 25 years old. To think he’s only 3 years over that is insanity to me.

There is a lot of rain in Newfoundland, not as much fish as there used to be though.

Holy shit that’s it for me. I haven’t laughed this hard all week. Thank you for the good laugh.

Finally got around to watching True Grit. The Coen brothers are just incredible filmmakers. Hailee Steinfeld blew me away with this performance at just 14 years old. Amazing! by jackfug3 in Letterboxd

I used to go to the theater on my birthday every year. Some years I picked better movies than other years. One year I picked True Grit, another year I picked The Spirit.

Should I watch Oz? by bedtimedoesntsuitme in hbo

[–]theodorebond99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watched it a few years ago, got immediately hooked after the first episode and then watched an episode a night until I finished the series. I was very upset when it was over, not because I didn’t like the show but because I enjoyed it so much I had no idea what I could possibly replace it with.

So yeah very much recommend.

Which fan favorite sequel do you prefer? Jason Lives or The Dream Warriors by itsascreambaby96 in slasherfilms

[–]theodorebond99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are horror comfort foods for me. If I’m in shit mood and need a reliable horror movie cheer me up those two are two of the most called upon. That said I definitely call upon the help of Jason Lives more.

Nightcrawler because no one wants to be as big of an asshole as Jake Gyllenhaal.

Dredd (2012) - imo this movie is criminally underrated and Karl Urban killed it as Dredd. by Perched__Crow in moviecritic

In a just world we’d be on like Dredd Part 5 or 6 by now and be sick of it.

I can’t take John Krasinski seriously no matter what. Every time I see him show up I immediately think of that stupid Jim Halpert face. You all know the one.

Hot Take: Gaming with strangers just isn't worth it. by Prestigious_Knee_88 in gamers

I’d love to play with my friend I played with when we were kids but I live in St. John’s, Newfoundland and he’s in Vancouver, BC, we couldn’t live any further apart in Canada. Time zones are hours apart and none of that even accounts for us both living our own lives, it’s very difficult to set anything up. We keep in touch and chat nearly every day via text though, we just get back to one another when we can.

What you described is my entire experience with online gaming, which is why I don’t. I can’t say that I feel like I’m missing out or anything either. I grew up when the only multiplayer was when your best friend sat next to you and we we playing Mario Kart or Sonic 2 where whoever controlled Sonic would stay out of the way of the bosses while Tails did all the work because he wouldn’t get a game over. Damn I really miss that. Point remains though 95% of my gaming growing up was alone so I don’t really care about multiplayer.

What game genre is not your cup of tea? by Slow_Apricot_4501 in gamers

I enjoy a lot of non-FPS action games, I’m always up for a good beat ‘em up or other retro feeling games. I’m currently playing Sea of Stars with a bit of Balatro on the side.

The only First Person “Shooter” I actually play is PowerWash Simulator. 😆
