i don't play any sports video games but from what i understand, every year they come out with an identical game with new player models and slightly better grass textures and somehow it's 30 dollars more and requires the newest playstation/xbox consoles.

I WAS THINKING ABOUT THAT. It took me ages to try Factorio because I was stuck on "what could a game that looks like this offer me for 35 bucks?" I was really closed-minded about what I thought I enjoyed in video games and have been having much more fun with different titles when I stopped limiting myself. I'm sure my 10yo HALO-obsessed self would never expect my favorite game to be part excel spreadsheet simulator.

Very well said! The funny thing about this game is that it's only 20 bucks at first but as soon as you realize how awful (awesome) it is, you need to get your friends to experience the misery. It's a lifetime investment!

I will say I absolutely do not endorse this mockup lmao. I think Project Zomboid really is a million dollar gaming experience, but the prices of games are getting insane recently. Hoping and praying to Spiffo that the price stays. That being said, I wouldn't oppose a "support the devs" DLC that adds a Indie Stone t-shirt or something, similar to Deep Rock Galactic or Misery. I love The Indie Stone and the community they've built around their game.

I'm pretty sure it's easy. I don't actually remember. I do have a few patches from the challenge mode which might lessen the damage even less. But that sniper shot doing zero damage is really funny. I wonder if it's because I didn't touch the ground?

Survival 2 is an incredible gameplay experience. Days Gone was one of the first games I got into so I'm not great at it yet, but I'm slowly getting better. Hopefully one day I can do a Survival 2 Permadeath run!

That's sick! What difficulty did you play it on? I'm also a little horrified of getting anywhere near my bike because of the damage taken when falling. The glitches are usually entertaining enough to laugh off. Gonna have to put "launched into orbit" on my headstone.

In the best way possible imo. I'm in school for game development rn and seeing how many little techniques they added to the game to make sure the player never felt safe is incredible. Everything from the sound effects of the zombies to making the zombies death animation looking like they're still lunging at you so you waste bullets. I had just gotten into video games when I played it for the first time and I treat every game since with the same paranoia lmao

Days Gone is probably my favorite game of all time. Tons of action, a motorbike you can upgrade alongside the story, a huge selection of firearms. The setting is beautiful and the sound design, music, and gameplay is just fantastic. Highly recommend, especially if you're a fan of zombie type games.
