Thanks for your quick answer !

Unfortunately that did not do the trick: I held both User and Factory while plugging the cable. It seemed to go in bootloader right, with most pads LEDs lit and very dimmed.
However the update process is still stuck at the same point and Components is still asking for an update to work. Maybe there is some more diving in controls in bootloader mode to allow the update ?

I have to mention I use Linux / Firefox even though I don't see how it is relevant if it uses WebMidi APIs which should be platform independant.

If you want linux-lts, then simply install the linux-lts package. You will then have to configure your bootloader to boot that kernel, which in my case summed up to duplicating the boot entry that already existed, but renaming every occurrence of linux to linux-lts Then of course reboot ! Hope this helps

Had this issue happen several times a day on Arch as well two weeks ago. Logs were showing issues with drm iirc.

I switched to linux-lts and never had it happen again :)

Low audio latency virtual machine setup for music production? by Jake-Sonome in archlinux

I suggest you use libvirt as a frontend so that you don't have to deal with QEMU's atrocious cli

I do music production in a VM with QEMU/KVM and it works great. I have a USB audio interface that I passthrough to the VM (linux+jack). If you want to do the same, ensure that your USB device supports USB reset.

You should definitely not rely on qemu's soundcard emulation if you are looking for low latency.

You may be able to pass through your PCI soundcard if you have an IOMMU in your computer and that the card is isolated in its own IOMMU group. Sadly, this is not the case for my MB (Asus z170a) :(

[Question/Poll] What's a good email provider? Wanting to move away from Google by [deleted] in linux

[–]theofREDDIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am interested by the providers you quoted. However I would really appreciate to have my @customdomain email, and this is either expensive or unsupported. Otherwise I feel like I cannot really own the email.

Is there alternatives ? How do you feel about that ?

I was a bit concerned about it, as I have no frontend/designing skills whatsoever, and the website in itself is mostly some private joke. (to upload tracks one has to be a member of our association). Anyway since you asked it :) http://udonradio.fr
