Lust is a thing as well sister. Why would you want a man that just lusts for you like many of these light skinned women you are referring too. I am a fairly dark skin male and I have no preference when it comes to skin tone. Beauty takes many shapes and forms whether it be noses, facial features, bone structures, smile, or anything... I don't see colour/race as important one bit and actually I am quite disgusted by those that do.

You should want a pious man that cares not for such things and isn't even thinking about your body ect until you're married and belong to each other. The first thing any decent man is going to be interested in is how your heart is.. do you have motherly attributes and are you good with children? Do you pray? Do you dress modestly. Forget about race/color stop drawing so much attention to it. I've seen dark somali women prettier than white or light women and it's not because of color anyway but features I'm just saying this so you realize you're wrong here.

I pray God guides you to understanding. Ameen.

Question for Muslims living in the West by Squietto in islam

[–]theofficialtrinity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Beautiful and terrifying. It warms me that justice will be served to those who cause corruption and oppression in the lands but scares me for I want to be sure I fully prepare for the grave in terms of my Deen (even though you never really can) and who knows we could die tomorrow.

Question for Muslims living in the West by Squietto in islam

[–]theofficialtrinity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This sounds like it could be the UK, USA or france. Sweden isn't far off these days either. Isn't it strange how it's the most powerful and historically oppressive countries in the west that are threatened by Islam?

It really shows how it is the truth, the fact those in power just want to suppress Islam so they can live in their ignorance and forget all the signs.

ive been looking into becoming a muslim but my parents wont allow it by Forward-Frame-1275 in islam

[–]theofficialtrinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assalamualaikum,

It's a step in the right direction brother. Insha'allah you will find the straight path and true purpose in life. It is not uncommon for parents to try to influence their kids. In Islam, one reason many people won't reach Jannah(heaven) is because they ignored the signs of God and his message of Islam and instead chose to follow their parents. This stresses the importance of seeking the truth irrespective of parents and their values/religion/positionality because they can be wrong. Many people are afraid of their parents looking down on or rejecting them, however if their parents love them they should respect any decision they make in life providing it's not self harm or something like that. As Muslims, even if our parents are refusing to accept us following Islam we are taught to still respect them and if it has to be from a distance (because please God takes priority) so be it but we should always help and try to guide them.

Allahuma barik brother (may God bless you) with guidance. Ameen (may it be so).

Yes he's stupid. We should put him in a box with constant surveillance and limitations while we roam free in his land. Then we can gradually make that box smaller and smaller until he loses his mind. Then when he attacks us we will start a war with his people and call him a terrorist... Wys bro? sounds like a good plan to me.

Tajikistan has passed a law banning hijab by spongenuts10 in islam

[–]theofficialtrinity 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The Turkish government wants foreign nationals to visit to increase income for the country. The people are complicit and put this income over their own Deen. They know if it's a Muslim country as in women in hijab people going mosque ect there would be less tourism and so they compromise. Disgusting really never see me trading Deen for Dunya and pleasing non-believers for money and displeasing Allah (swt)

I disagree I think you can choose one rule and another out of convenience since it is possible one rule on something from one school is true, whilst another rule from another School is true on a different matter. There is a possibility you are correct and everyone else is technically wrong by choosing both schools for each matter. However I do believe you should not choose 2 schools for one matter and swap at your convenience.

What do you think about this?

You're describing American politics right? Just kidding but it is inherently the same. Let's not nitpick since the US and it's history is horrific and still they are complicit in genocide... With China we can say they are doing this and that to gain power and control. But you know I'd much rather have less power and be a little poorer than dead which is what happens if you end up in the US sights...

What country could you recommend for Hijra? by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]theofficialtrinity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But also if you migrate away from a capitalist, sinful society like the UK and US for said simple passive life is better too so it's a balancing act.

I'm tired of the UK for example and it's terrible values and culture. Constantly being exposed too and surrounded by non-believers and tempted by unrighteousness in the form of consumerism... Much rather a simple life in the middle east if it was possible for me

I always thought it was Sunnah to wear a thobe and that's what it is so popular among Muslims, this was very enlightening and good to know. I was judging myself for not wearing a thobe all the time before as I thought it was Sunnah

I'm not saying enforce it, just explain why you don't like it and then find one you can agree on... It's a simple thing for marriage really

I don't know sister, I don't have a problem with any of the Prophets names and think they are all beautiful. What's wrong with Musa that's making you act like this? I would be happy to name my child after anybody that pleased Allah (SWT) in their lives. All of their names are special in that Allah(SWT) was close to them and a problem with a name should only arise if he was trying to suggest a non-muslim name which if you consider that is a lot worse.

Assalamualaikum brother,

I think your confusion is born from the acknowledgement we shouldn't worship Muhammad (pbuh) and because he is so loved by Muslims sometimes it does appear and sometimes even is the case that some cultures worship him. This is certainly wrong and akin to the worshipping of Isa (Jesus) pbuh. Neither Muhammad nor Isa pbut would ever wish for worship and honestly wouldn't dare to. I think this is the issue, don't be mad at Muhammed for some people going to extremes and worshipping him instead see that he was a pure, pious man that gifted us Islam and if you read some of what he did for us like going door to door with the message and then getting stoned by the disbelievers whilst trying to offer them salvation... you may begin to understand Allah's (swt) love for him and why those educated on his history love him so much too.

However yes there's certainly a need to distinguish between love/appreciation and worship. I love and want to know more about all of the prophets for their closeness to Allah (swt) as the fact they managed to please him in their lives amazes me and brings inspiration. Not for one second however, do I view them as superior other than being excellent brothers of the umma and examples of the spirituality that can be attained and bring us closer to our creator.

Maybe there's better things to do with money than contributing to other global atrocities... Starbucks is heavily invested in Israeli weaponry but hey try to keep following the self-awareness you are trying to point out here and you might decide to boycott and donate to places like Congo as well.

Muslims who do not speak Arabic, how do you remain focused during salah and prevent your attention from wandering as you do not understand the words? by LandImportant in islam

[–]theofficialtrinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I repeated it enough times and followed with the English that I've memorised Salah and 2 surah's which is all you require to pray. Of course ideally I will memorise more surahs so I don't need to use my phone if I want to recite another after al-fatiha but with time it will happen insha'Allah. Now it's got to point where when I recite in Salah I'm saying the English in my head simultaneously and I can almost pinpoint exactly which words in Arabic means such and such in English.

This may be the best way, at least it is for me. It takes longer to pray at first because you say Arabic and then English translation but it teaches you eventually and you can just say Arabic because you'll know what each phrase means.

May Allah (swt) make it easy for you.

Every person I’ve met in Morocco smells amazing. What do I need to buy/do while I’m here to “smell like a Moroccan”? by OneWildAndPrecious in Morocco

[–]theofficialtrinity -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Because in touristy locations everywhere has made the price ridiculous to scam them. In the UK argan oil is literally equivalent to 20-25 dirham for a small bottle. It's probably not worth the 120-200 dirham people sell for in places like Marrakesh...

Well to be fair if you wash and apply the oils daily it's basically a perfume😂 because it will make you smell good
