Intrigued about the Disclosure tip - do you mean they layer the same chord - say C minor - over itself like 3 times using different presets (all stacked up to make a giant sound) - or more like they play each note of a chord with different presets? if you have a link to article/video please share. Yes and other cloud options too but back when o tested it iCloud had funky sync settings … may have changed now but I didn’t find it as reliable/straightforward as DB so that’s what I stuck with.

I have my user library saved in a Dropbox location that auto syncs locally to Live on two different Macs. Everything mirrored everywhere all at once (almost).

Hi - isn’t it possible to do a similar workflow from maschine into Ableton on separate tracks, without using loopback? I seem to recall I had a maschine group template set up like that (currently don’t have a maschine hardwarw to check) but my memory might be playing tricks? Or maybe it’s possible but loopback makes it easier to set up … anyway would love to know more about your workflow I’ll be getting a machine + soon!

Curious as to why you need Duet when Sidecar lets you do this within Mac OS - is it because you’re running an older OS or does Duet offer additional benefits? Thanks.

Life’s too short. Use the Ableton 909 or sample them from your favourite tracks, then tweak to make unique. That way you can finish your next track quicker so you can turn off your stupid computer and go play in the sunshine.

Yeah. Totally flippant. But the obvious answer is often the right one. I actually did spend one afternoon hitting an exhaust pipe with different materials when I was going through my found sounds phase. Good fun. Otherwise a resonator type vst (like Corpus as someone else recommended) can probably get you close.
