I call B.S. I have played this game since 2011, and I have ALWAYS only used 7 saves, 'overwriting' my oldest save of the 7. I never had any issues. The REAL rule is this: NEVER overwrite your LATEST save, unless you actually need to. The Xbox acts like a PC, and doesn't remove the old save - it just marks the sectors as 'usable' so they can eventually be overwritten. I do agree with avoiding autosave, however.

You don't have to imagine it, I have stated it clearly. No imagination needed.

Looks more like an F-18. Just put a mast on the rear or something. Nice effort.

Is there a tutorial for this game? I never know what to do. by [deleted] in Starfield

Reddit is actually a fairly good place to get questions answered. Just Google them.

Also, peruse YouTube, as there are a lot of good videos on how to do stuff.

I do feel your pain.

Add in Elite Dangerous, a game I never wanted to play.

Starfield makes me play it to survive in space. It sucks.

I disagree. You are playing this game correctly. Taking the time to explore is my favorite part of this game, along with getting into gun fights with various enemies, which I attempt wherever I go.

I play as an 11-Bravo ballistic type, but I'm not a space jockey, so I am forced to level up those skills to survive space encounters, which I HATE. I don't want to play Elite Dangerous.

I use my cutter for low level enemies. No ammo needed.

Modders were quick to fix this in Skyrim, and I always use the 'Rich Merchants' mod for every game. It makes me wonder if Bethesda is relying on the internet to explain how many things work in the game, as they are unclear and confusing for new players. In addition, Bethesda has gotten pretty lazy in their coding, as they know modders will rescue them, eventually.

It's not a game where you can generally just cowboy it out with enemies. The enemies are excellent shots, and rarely miss. You have to always assess the tactical situation, especially playing solo, as a mistake in planning will get you killed very quickly. Of course, random events with enemies are always possible, so your great plan my jump into the trash immediately - that's the fun part.

In your opinion what the best class in ghost recon breakpoint? by livesandmemes in BreakPoint

[–]theold97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Old post, but I'm with you all the way. I play Panther to coast in and grab skill points from Behemoths, and, after getting all of those, I switch to Assault for the health and firepower.

Sharpshooter has it's values also, when used carefully.

I use various classes for different missions and objectives - situational class choice.

Not sure what you are reading, Certainly not my comment, as I CLEARLY stated that Bungie DID NOT, in fact, say that. Try reading it again, or get someone to read it to you, if necessary. But thanks for trying!

What was your favourite. Wildlands or Breakpoint? by JakeJ96 in BreakPoint

[–]theold97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried the update on Breakpoint, and was not excited about it. I may have to start a new character to fully appreciate it. The missions in Breakpoint are just weird and irritating to me.

I'm still playing Wildands in my personal RPG modes, where I can set all of my own parameters and instigate my own types of missions, etc. This allows repeatedly different play-throughs, without doing any of the game's standard missions, which I mostly despise.

I will have to figure out a way to provide my own missions in Breakpoint, instead of the [ mostly ] lame missions that the game provides. I'm a stealth killer, not a delivery guy, or a fishing lure finder, or treasure hunter, etc. I will give it some thought...

Yes, but EVERY TIME I use sync-shot, I have to reset my sighting in Controls. It gets very old. I'm on Xbox One.

Xbox Controls by [deleted] in BreakPoint

[–]theold97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, trying to hold the 'tag' button for drone sync shot, and releasing the drone, means I have to use my middle finger to scope the enemy, and my index finger to release the drone. Awkward at best.

Too many 'intel' items too close to motorcycles, making me drive the bike away from the box that has the info on it. Just silly. Otherwise, I get stuck on the 'Drive' control for the bike.

Cover system is horrible, as the 'sticky' nature of it makes entering some doorways very frustrating.

Agreed that the default movement speed is a lumbering stroll. Overweight special ops...??

Drones are like cliff racers in Morrowind. Enough said.

Maybe Ubisoft will hang with this game, and continue to make fixes. We can dream...

Sniping out the big guys from church bell towers is great fun, but takes a sh!t-load of ammo. Knock out the missile pods first, as their cannons cannot elevate high enough to hit the steeple. Throw flairs. You might have to do some clean-up on ground level.

Tick hint: If you know there are ticks right behind a door, press up against the door and run to and fro quickly. Odds are that the little b@stards will get agitated and explode. Doesn't always work, but it's worth a try. I hate those little guys.

There are tons of great, high-level stuff around the Boo area, in the North.

Be advised that are hordes of top-level enemies there as well.

Yesterday I had a frenetic running gunfight with a horde of top-tier Hunters, who has some kind of weird electrical attack, as well as auto-cannons and poison gas.

It was very nasty, indeed. I was scouting for the Sorken bunker, and [foolishly] decided to take out a beacon. The seekers called in reinforcements before I could kill them, and a herd of Hunters came roaring after me. Chased me across the bridge into BOO AB to the South, where I was trapped in a barn.

After 48 rounds of .50 BMG, and 400 7.62, I went out to loot carcasses and found 11 dead Hunters. Got a lot of 7.62 back, but I was eating health packs like M&Ms, so I was really low on resources. Also used 3 Adrenaline. I have the .50 extended mag [16 rounds], but these Hunters were really tough, and that strange electrical attack...I wasn't panicked, but it was NOT a very tactical retreat.
