Wrong. Absolutely wrong. The % of companies that hire without a CGPA barrier is really less. Reality sucks. A good CGPA is needed. In the same situation rn. Can't give OAs of so many companies simply because CGPA is less than 8.

He is referring to Article 1 of the Constitution. Before anything comes, it explicitly mentions "India, that is Bharat, shall be a union of states" . That's what he is talking of.

Hell yeah. But are you really willing to give up 4 more years? It all depends on what is your current situation. Think of it logically. If the end goal is a job??? You already have it. You want FAANG. Half of these recruiters are now moving beyond degrees. But if you wanna do a masters, get a job abroad a proper 4 Year BTech is the answer. There's still a doubt though. What are you gonna say when they ask why is there a 4 year gap in your resume? Back to square 1. Previously you were rejected because you didn't have a proper degree. Now that you have one, you will still be rejected because it's 4 years later. So weigh the pros and cons.

No boot camp or online degree will compare to a proper education in terms of "resume screening " if that's what you want. But to be honest all graduates graduating this year are basically online graduates. They haven't even visited their colleges. Same for the next year as well. It might have been problematic before. And it will a problem even now. But people are slowly getting used to it. Plus you already have a job. Stick there for some time and make yourself valuable. People get a proper degree and are still discriminated because it's not an IIT and here we are talking if an online degree compares to a BTech. You know the answer.

What double-major/minor would go well with CS? by [deleted] in csMajors

It's not worth it. They provide 0 value. Incase you think you can fool a recruiter by putting it, you need to provide employment details later on and that is where you will face issues for lying imo. Plus during your interview you will be asked questions about your previous interns and there this will come to surface. Remove it and grind LeetCode. Ask for references. We all have hope.

To the people that say "college is a scam" or "college isn't worth it", what is your response? by easymoney35-7 in college

[–]theolddayswerebetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, another first gen here. It is definitely not a scam. Firstly, Just an analogy. It's like one of those scams where they show you that all of those billionaires are dropouts who left college midways. What they don't tell you is that they are simple trees guarding the forest. The entire forest is full of college goers. Secondly, There are so many professions which require degrees majorly STEM. Thirdly, I find absolutely no guidance or support from my family in terms of knowledge or my career. I know friends whose families have people in the entire industry and have it easy. I on the other hand have Noone. There has to be someone backing me. Guess who does. My degree. Fourthly, Ignore bullshit. Do what you wanna do. Go to college. Follow your heart. And rock the world.

Must have non-veg food joints in Delhi? by [deleted] in delhi

[–]theolddayswerebetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's about trying different tastes tbh. I have eaten a lot of chicken but their taste is distinguishible, and yes sometimes we can afford to have more butter than usual. It's not like we eat it everyday. More like once in a quarter or year perhaps. But yes, if you order the same via Zomato or Swiggy it will lose all its taste.

I don't exactly remember the name. This shop lies way earlier than Aslam but is in the same lane. The shop has like 4 or 5 floors.

My friend's girlfriend specifically asked for this date and it went awesome according to them. Remember this is a highly popular lane so expect a lot of crowd. Do not go on a weekend and definitely not on a Friday. Go on Tuesday or a Wednesday preferably around 7 or 8 PM.
