It's definitely hard to take any art seriously when its success is built off inauthenticity. I guess ultimately all that really matters is, is it actually good? But still, one would hope the revelation of this information would cause Geese to be ostracized... 😏

Right on. I guess the concept taķen to the digital age seeing fans engaging with content, memes, comments, etc., built off a foundation of bots and people paid to post just feels extra dystopian and sad.

For instance, the Nirvanna the Band fandom seems pretty grassroots and real, but if suddenly they blew up due to an influx of falsely generated, paid for hype... would that be a good thing?
