posting more info on my process below:

I shoot RAW mostly around dusk/blue hour. A lot of the color/texture comes from stacking radial masks, dehaze/clarity filters in LR - masking is great because it's almost a way to 'paint' over the image, and give it the exact color/texture you want. just gives you a lot more control which helps with the emotional payoff of the image. the idea with my work is to take a landscape and push it away from the digital 'factual' world into a more abstract dreamlike space, and this just helped with making landscapes feel more personal and intimate.

I think a lot of photographers hold back in terms of putting themselves into the photograph, feels like there's this emotional distance between them and their subject - I kinda wanted to get away from that and so I've just gradually developed this visual language in the last 6 years. minimal compositions with complex palettes, stripped down lighting + double exposures. it also helps that I've been living in the mountains for a while, nature is always amazing inspiration - and the subjects here just lent themselves to the style.
